Did you enjoy class?

Was it effective?

Did you get injured in class?

Has it given you confidence on the street?

  1. krav maga is c**p,but i will say it has been marketed vey well and has sucked a lot of ppl in.

  2. Some people say bad things about it because they do not understand the real reason it exists. It is not meant for practice as a martial art but for practical self-defense.

There are some very effective chapters. Injury is actually something Krav Maga instructors avoid at all cost as they have a philosophy to not get injured in training.

I am however worried by the fact that they don't seem to cover any self-defense areas such as awareness.

  3. Krav Maga is one of the most effective street fighting styles around. The Israeli military relies on it for hand-to-hand combat. Sure, you will occasionally get hurt in class, but it's great knowing that you can defend yourself realistically in a life threatening situation. One of the greatest aspects of Krav Maga is learning how to disarm an opponent weilding a hand gun. You learn all kinds of techniques that are prohibited in mixed martial arts. You can really mess somebody up badly using Krav Maga, you just have to be willing to fully commit to attacking your opponent.
