What do you think of Lady Diana for confessing in public that she had had an extra-conjugal affair?

At first, I admired her for her sincerity.

But then, she was so harshly criticized, she made Prince Charles feel very humiliated and the Royal Family very outraged, that I started questioning afterwards whether her confession was really a good thing...

What were (or are) your personal views about it?

  1. I am surprised she told the truth ! After all she had a fancy for married men, I would have thought she knew what it felt like

  2. Being honest is always six of one, half a dozen of the other for anyone, but for someone in the public eye, it is even riskier

Diana bristled under that yoke of protocol and societal oppression that demanded that she "keep up appearances" and it simply wasn't within her nature to not let the left hand know what the right hand was doing. She struck me as a sensitive soul that naively believed that the truth would set her free.  Unfortunately she paid the price because she decided to be true to herself rather than continue to live a lie. It's hard to win against centuries of sexism and tradition where the females are not set up to win...and people think it's justifiable to punish them for their transgressions, but give the ole "wink wink nudge nudge" to the guy for being such a mack daddy or superstud!

If you ask me, Diana was an emotionally battered wife...and was definitely better off without that lying, cheating hypocrite of a husband and his pit-bull mistress.

  3. Admire her for her honesty. No one else in the family has the truth in them.

  4. Infidelity always comes out eventually, just ask Vitter and Craig.  Even the cute guy down at 7-11 got caught.  You might as well face up to it and pay the piper right off; cheaper and easier in the long run........but you'd be better off not doing it in the first place.

  5. I think Lady Diana is dead, and there are a thousand things far more important that we should be thinking about than her s*x life.

  6. A pity me,  Look at me everybody maneuver.  she has always spent  her last years as the victim or the martyr.....You became a millionaire and princess, get over it and quit acting like a helpless defenseless martyr.............
