What do you think of Lexi for girl and Clint for a boy?

We're only two months pregnant so we've got a long way to go, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on these names.

I luv lexi but Clint sounds like a weird shortened name but if want another L name you could use layne (sounds like lane).

Nice...for Clint - how about naming him Clinton and your hubby can call him Clint for short.  Lexi is nice, could be short for Alexis or Alexandra or something if you wanted, but I like Lexi just by itself!!

I think every child deserves a full name. Not only will a full name be taken more seriously in the professional world (Dr. Lexi Smith?), and have more life long durability (Grandma Lexi?), but your child will have more nicknames to choose from.

What about a name like Alexis, or Alexandra? or Clinton?

I like Lexi.  We have a relative named Alexis, whom we call Lexi.  I don't like Clint.  I'm afraid that kids might omit one letter from his name and call him a part of a female's anatomy.  I know kids can mangle any name, but this just makes it "too easy" for them.

lexi is really cute, but i prefer it as a nickname. maybe alexandra, alexandria, alexia would sound more elegant, especially as she grows older. clint? i'd have to say no for foolish reasons.

I like Lexi for a girl but Im not a fan of Clint. It reminds me of a female part....i know weird but it really does.

I love the name Lexi. But I have to be honest with you - I couldn't name a girl Lexi because that happens to be my Golden Retriever's name. It's very pretty, though.

I also don't care for Clint for a boy - I'd be thinking of Clint Eastwood. And that's leaving the poor kid far too open for vulgar nicknames.

if it's a boy though... hahaha! sorry, but i agree with ur partner on this one! u have 3 boys and u didn't agree to name any of them Clint! No offence, but i think you're being a bit too harsh with your husband...

i think u should name the baby Clint if it's a baby boy.. But i pray for u that you have a baby boy, because i have 2 reasons:

1.You already have 3 boys, and Lexi's a wonderful name!

(But i suggest Levi aswell)

2. If u have another baby boy, then trust me, i bet ur husband's definitely gonna

name the baby Clint!

I really like Lexi, but I don't know about it on it's own. I love it as a nickname (Alexandra(ria)/Alexis/Alexa/Alexia)
