  1. she should go to the streets of cleveland, and get shot by one of her pro gun choice guns.

  2. Call damage control...and have Rove shot.

  3. I would have prefered that he pick Romney, but McCain is a gambler and he could turn out to be crazy like a fox. This election just got even more interesting. The plot thickens....

  4. excellent choice

    Mccain/Palin 2008

  5. Considering she's under investigation for abuse of power for trying to get her state trooper brother in law fired since he's divorcing her sister I'd say it's GREAt for camp Obama

  6. shes pretty but can she lead this country when mccain gets sick?

  7. Other countries have had women as heads of state, WE are slowly moving towards that "tradition"!

like it or not, it will happen in this century!

  8. I think that it's great for Obama/Biden ticket.  Because by choosing a running mate with no foreign policy experience, his argument against Obama's inexperience is very weak now. Obama's running mate Biden is highly experienced in foreign policy. Therefore,Obama can lean on Biden to help him make decisions on foreign policy matters.  As for McCain,he's 72 years old with a history of health problems. If he dies in office, then Palin will take over as president with very little foreign policy experience. If Obama ends up not finishing his term, Biden will be ready to take over as president because of his extensive foreign policy experience.

But yeah...by choosing inexperienced Palin for his running mate, McCain can't argue about Obama's inexperience.  McCain's judgment can be really criticized now.

Also...my first impression about McCain's pick is that he's targeting women voters including especially disgruntled Hillary supporters. However, her strong pro-life record won't  sit well with the women that are prochoice. Her strong conservatism won't sit right with liberals. Therefore, his pick might actually backfire. His pick can be seen as insulting womens' intelligence too.

  9. She talks like an air head beauty queen. Oh wait, she was a beauty queen. She can not talk to Putin & other world leaders. Most women are upset cause it looks like McCain presumes that the $18 million of Hillary supporters don't care about issues. He is 72 years old with skin cancer & so he needed someone who could pick up the phone at 3 a.m & would handle things better than Biden. Biden has better judgment than Palin... This shows people Obama has better judgment that McCain.

  10. What a joke.  She was the mayor Wasilla just 20 months ago.  I thought experience counted.  I guess not.  That arguement is out the window now.  And now she's under investigation for corruption in her state.  Obama/Biden seem to be the safe choice for the country now.

  11. I feel a little bit sorry for Palin. She should have had enough sense to turn down this job. This is an embarrassing pick for McCain, like when Bush picked Harriet Meyers for the supreme court. Moreover its a totally irresponsible pick for McCain.

I woke up this morning still admiring McCain as a patriot who loves his country, but is just wrong. Now I'm wondering how on earth a person who so persistently stokes my fear of terrorists and other calamities would be willing to turn their country over to a snowmachin'in hockymom from Alaska to sit in the oval office. Sadly he's either putting politics before our safety and security or he's gone nuts. Sad either way. McCain was once a good man. Now he's made himself a joke.

Maybe the party of Lincoln needed this one final act of spectacular stupidity to finish its self destructive swan dive that started w/Reagan. Maybe after its over they can reinvent themselves and get back to true conservatism of the fiscal responsibility, smart and measured foreign policy and NOT pandering to whackjobs that want to use gov't to meddle in my personal life.

Until then I'll remain a staunch independent and sit back and watch McCain insult women, his party and his country in stunned disbelief.

  12. Risky, could be effective, could backfire, could have little effect.

  13. total hypocrisy

McCain has been one of Obama's biggest critics regarding his experience.  total hypocrisy.

  14. Not very impressed.

  15. How can Mcclain say Obama doesn't have experience when he a

senator and Palin is only a 2 year Governor?
