Although I have never been there, except for two hours in Tijuana some 55 years ago, which I didn't care for, I am under the opinion that Mexico sucks, and probably is no place for humans to live.  I assume this is correct, otherwise why are all the Mexicans  leaving  there by the millions, they must think the same way.

It's the best place to be.Ask all of the people they don't go to california or florida on their honeymoon or vacation they go to mexico because it has a lot of beautiful beaches. And in fact a lot of old people choose mexico to live their retirment.           Wonderful weather and very friendly people

well, on a quick answer, I wonder why they all try to illegally

come here, take over Southern California, moan and groan

and not respect the fact that they have what they have here

and what it took our forefathers to do get us here,  and

then take that back to their own Country and fix it.

I am from mexico city (now live in Houston because my mom is gringa) and I love it. I go to Acapulco every chance i get and for EVERY New Years. It has sooo many wonderful places but just like any other country, has its undesireable places. So many wonderful beaches and old towns that shouldnt be missed. as for the person who said he/she had gone to the border and now thinks mexico sucks.... ignorance is all i can say. The border is known as dangerous and ugly but you cant judge all of mexico on that. If you are ever interested in visiting i would suggest; for beaches- playa del carmen, acapulco, puerto vallarta, cabos, xcaret!, and some wonderful cities/towns- san miguel de allende, morelia, guadalajara, merida.... and so on. they have so much culture and the ppl are truly wonderful. oh, and for the ppl who commented on the economical status of mexico, i dont think that was the question. but yes, ppl are coming over here for better opportunities in jobs and school (as well as from asia, south america, europe, africa, everywhere!), but that has nothing to do with the beauty and culture of mexico.
