  1. I do not use it instead I use OpenOfffice.org for all my documents.

  2. I've been using it since early 2007. That's good, in the sense that the interface has been redesigned that can help a beginner to get on it fast. Well, it may not be called foolproof, but closer than 2003. If you are an expert on word 2003, you may not need to spend too much money getting 2007. However if you don't know much about Word, 2007 is something worth to buy.

  3. very good. But you need a machine with high configuration to run it smoothly. It has a lot of new feature that will let you work with any web faced program. In big companies most of the employee use sharepoint portal where they can add their own pages. Word 2007 let the user to design it in word environment and upload as a web page.

There are so many cool features in word 2007. But if you need only basic feature you can go back to word 200 or 2003

  4. if u get familiar with it, u will love it

  5. its very good, with a better feel and good transitions, it do embarks a statement, fast in operations nd lots n lots of added options, its worth a try

  6. I found myself ready to put my fist through the LCD. If they want to shake things up with a ribbon, fine, but forcing fortune 500 companies to spend millions of dollars retraining gray-haired employees is just plain dumb. Microsoft has been using the same toolbar paradigm since mid 80's versions of Word for Mac; pretty much every program has been using it since Windows 3.0 and it even got grafted onto later DOS apps. If MS could afford to keep Word Perfect hot keys for years, why not a simple "classic mode" toolbar? Seriously, stupid, arrogant, and has kept companies from immediately upgrading. This is how empires fall; through attrition over the small things.

Unless you work in an enterprise or need a few certain features, just get Open Office. It's no more obtuse, but sure a heck of a lot cheaper. If that's too complex, Abiword distills the simplistic brilliance of word processors like WP 6.2 and Word 97 into a modern cross platform editor fit for writers and other non-technical users. It gerts everything right but footnotes and endnotes.

  7. I hate all Microsoft software.
