I'm from up North in Lancashire, and tend to think of Southerners as cold, abrupt, work crazy people. I think they make a lot of money, live a fast life and burn out quickly. I tend to think they're more depressed than Northerners. I do think they have a lot of common sense though.

What do you Southerners think of Notherners, especially Lancashire people? Have you met any Northerners and were they what you expected?

What do other Northerners think of Southerners, and were they as expected?

  1. I was born in Yorkshire as were my family.  When I was 6 we moved down south and I would class myself as a southerner now.  The main differences are  Northerners accept people easier  and are friendlier, louder and wear their hearts on their sleeve.  Southerners are slightly more aloof and take longer to get to know people.

I love northerners but would find it hard to live there now and have to have the constant conversations in queues etc.
