I think he made a terrible mistake. I will not vote for him because he stiffed Hillary and I don't vote for a man that don't believe what he says.

  1. irrelevent to me . i believe the Ds and Rs have become corrupt . its been 100 years since we had other than D or R . look at the mess we are in . its time to conside  one of the many other party's candidates . im going with Nader .

  2. It was insulting to her 18 million voters.

  3. Biden was the better choice, Hillary says so herself!

  4. Ambition killed him.  Democrats had a better chance with Hillary than Obama.  If only they allowed for the Florida and Michigan votes to be counted—it would have been Hillary.

  5. Obama knew that he would "tap that".. if Hillary were around...

  6. I think it shows his inability to make an informed decision. Hard to get over that.

  7. obama would have won the election in a landslide had he picked hillary for his VEEP. However, biden has a better understanding of foreign policy than hillary. I will still vote for him.

  8. big  mistake on  obamas part

  9. Biden was a horrible choice.  His first decision EVER and he botched it.

He couldn't choose Hillary, he hates her.

  10. I think that only Republicans still care about it.

  11. I think Biden was a great choice.

    Palin is no Hillary Clinton..

for crying out loud she's no pit bull with lipstick

    SHE'S d**k CHENEY WITH LIPSTICK!

  12. He picked Biden because he's been in Washington a long time. There was nothing new about him, so it kept the press on him and off his VP.

A very safe and dull choice.

  13. Together Obama and Hillary would have knocked 'em dead.  But she is, as she says, totally endorsing him and that's the next best thing.

Biden knows foreign policy well though.

    Obama '08

  14. I believe the issue is Clinton carries a lot of baggage and Obama wanted to place distance between himself and the Clinton legacy.  I'm not sure about Biden. If past history holds true he will cause some irritation somewhere down the road.

  15. For a guy that says change Washington and get away from the good old boys then get a vp that has been one for over 20 years When are you Obama fans going to figure out you can,t believe him and the latest poll is a reason to change his mind. 140 times he voted present not yes not no. He has not ran a town or a state or a business. When he says change I ask how, when, what and how he is going to pay for it. But that's ok he will tell you what you want to hear not what you need to hear and you can feel good. Want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn ? I'll sell it to you

  16. Good move. People like Hillary, yes, but it would have pulled away many voters who don't really like Hillary's policies, of which there are plenty.

  17. HUGE mistake...aboslutely HUGE!

  18. I agree. First of all, Obama never liked Hilary and made it very clear with his tone and body language throughout their debates. So he would have never chosen her. I don't think he wants to be on the same ticket as someone he feels a certain amount of disdain for. However, if he did put her on his ticket, they would have been the "dream team". Joe Biden, however, although a qualified pick with enough experience, is quite boring and not a very good speaker. I'm sure that Obama picked him to compensate for his lack of age/experience, etc and is trying to appeal to the more conservative democratic voters. However, I really don't think that team will win in November. Just my assumption. There are also Hilary supporters who are miffed at the democratic party for their treatment of her during the primaries and will go republican out of spite.

  19. Maybe you should ask Palin what God thinks about it. He talks to her a lot....or maybe it is just all those voices in her head.

  20. I think he made a good decision. Hillary might have made a good president but she does not compliment Obama very well in my opinion therefore might have weakened the ticket. Biden was a very good choice I believe. Sorry I don't agree. However Palin was a disastrous pick for McCain in my opinion, it seems he was losing already I think he guaranteed his defeat with that selection.

  21. Actually there was no way Hillary or Obama could have chose each other no matter who came out on top.  The reason is there is so much ammo they have said about each other it would devastate each other's campaign.  The gop is already using Hillary's statements against him.  Now they are using Jimmy Carter's and even Bidens statements a few years ago saying Obama is too inexperienced to lead.  It is going to be a rough debate soon.

  22. I think it was a wise idea.  If Hillary got the nod for V.P. the Republicans would have labelled him a weak leader who can be manipulated by Hillary.  I think Obamas best decisions are yet to be made.  Hillary already is telling all her constituents to vote for Barack, just like she is going to do.  If you were voting for Hillary based upon her policies, then there is no reason not to vote for Obama as well.  In the selection of his cabinet, I can see Hillary being the secretary of Health and Human services and getting a BIG jump on her agenda for Health care that she wants to see implemented.  Biden is the better choice for the experience and foreign affairs mending that Obama would be weak in.  If the only reason you wanted Hillary was to see the first woman in the White House, then you voted for her for the wrong reasons and even Hillary would be disappointed with that.  I can see Hillary challenging Biden in 8 years for the Democratic nod again and beating the V.P. then and maybe giving Biden another 8 years as V.P., that would also be a phenominal ticket and then Biden can have his turn, if he's still up to politics 16 years from now.

If you don't believe what Obama says, then you didn't believe what Hillary said either.  Look at their stances on policies and you will see that they think the same way and have very subtle differences in what needs to be done to make the U.S., as a whole, better in Health, Iraq, Pro Choice, etc.  What makes what Obama said different than Hillary so much that you believe Hillary could accomplish it and Obama cannot when they both have the same party members working with them?

Vote Obama/Biden, Hillary will get her turn and I'm not even a big fan of hers, but her speech and the DNC made me realize she is a team player and not just out for herself.  When she runs again, and I believe she will, she will have my vote.

  23. I think it was a mistake that he didn't choose Hillary.  I am voting Mccain/Palin BUT I was happy when Obama didn't choose Hillary because I think she would have helped him win.

  24. OBAMA 2008

  25. I disagree. Although, I might have preferred to have Hillary as VP, Obama made the right choice. What he did was choose the best candidate that would compliment him in many ways. Obama/Biden are a good match that makes sense. Where Obama's personality lacks the aggressive nature, Biden's is very much that way. Where Obama has less experience, Biden has plenty. When you look at the whole picture, President and vice president basically represent a "team" and ,I think these two are a perfect balancing act to lead our country toward a positive change in the future.

  26. So you're not going to vote for someone on the basis of who they chose for their VP?  That's pretty vain.  Also it shows a complete lack of interest in the issues of politics.  Rather than caring about what candidates have to say, all you seem to care about is the faces that go with them.

  27. Great Choice. I've wanted Biden to be the democratic nominee for 3 years now. Putting him 2nd has me pleased as punch. He could not have picked a better candidate in my mind. This guy is awesome.

  28. If Obama is elected you will see many more "terrible mistakes."

  29. I think it was a terrible mistake. Many Democrats like myself don't like Obama.

  30. How did he stiff Hilary? Obama can choose who ever he wants to run with him. I think he made a good decision. It's not easy for the Clintons to play second string. He saved himself a lot of nagging.

  31. His supporters hate Hillary and deep down I think Obama does too.

    She ran an dirty campaign.
