In the DNC speach he made a lot of promises. Do you think he will actually go through the budget and make some good changes? Will he help find ways for students to pay for college. Will he do anything for Israel? Are these things even a little bit possible? What do you think?

  1. i think he will make changes..he is for middle class and he knows how it is for hard working people who wasn't born with a silver spoon in their mouths

  2. your making the man into a god...that hes clearly not..

  3. I think Obama will lose in Niovember because the majority of those polled prefer McCain for commander in chief, this is all that is needed to elect McCain, so Obama will never have a chance to NOT keep his promises.

  4. I think he is better than the others. I think, in any event, those who have given the world George W Bush should not be rewarded but deterred. I think the DNC is eager to make things happen, and the economy being as it is and the youth being behind Obama... all this seems to create a very unique opportunity. This means that he has a good chance to make some things happen.

But of course, I think it would be fair to ask all candidates to lay out the finances for their plans. The difficult thing with this is that there are always factors that cannot be predicted. So far, Obama has been the only one to hint at the issue, maybe because McCain wants to project the impression that he will stop government spending. The problem is that the overpriced defense contracts of neocon cronies and other more important programs still need to be paid for. And what has been the republican idea so far in this area? Put the burden on the next generation: charge the national credit card.

So yeah, I would rather "gamble" ON Obama than gamble WITH McCain and the Republicans this time.

  5. obama is the right president for america. he knows what he's doing and he is such a great talker. A person with such great intelligence should be the president of america. I definitely believe that he will be able to fullfill his promises and I encourage everyone to vote for him.

  6. I believe so with his past job history taken into consideration

  7. He sure did make a lot of unrealistic empty promises. Where will this funding come from to pay for these huge promises? If he claims there will be acut in taxes for 95% of us. Seems a bit out in left field.

  8. There are already ways for students to go to college.  There are student loans of many types.  There annuity type college funds.  There are so many ways to finance college now that weren't even imagined when I was college age.  I could only support my son for college and he had to fund it.  When he finished he said he was still $20,000 in debt for it.  I told him that at his age that wasn't such a huge amount.  Now that he is teaching and coaching he earns three times as much Is I ever did in a year.  The $20,000 he could pay in a year.  If you have the marks there is no way you can't go to college.  Most people pay for college by working.  Obama says he want to give everybody a college education.  Now if I couldn't send my boy how can we all afford to send everybody.  The only magic tricks this guy does are in the minds of those who are duped.

  9. He is the only hope out there to reform our country.
