Today, it was announced Palin's daughter is pregnant and 17. This would be a none issue except for the fact that the republicans value women being a virgin until marriage and not to have children out of wedlock. So, when it happens they appear as hypocrites. Also, the Republicans think its ok to attack the privacy of others until it is their own privacy. Today, Palin's spokesperson Tucker says hypocritical statements. He says "the family decided to keep the baby." They decided?!?!? Also, the only issue republicans have is, in essence, to regulate women's uteri. In otherwords, they want to make women's private body public property. Today, Tucker said a hypocritical statement: "keep private matters private among family" and "it is dangerous to confuse public and private." But, that is their platform issue.

  1. The best laid plans dont always work out..

    Look at Obama..

Democrats love abortion yet his mother kept him...

  2. This isn't that complex. It shouldn't be this hard to figure out.

You can't take every little detail and try to make it relevant to 'the Republicans'. Her daughter is pregnant and they simply don't think it's appropriate for people to be meddling into it like that's some sort of crime that her mother should be persecuted for. And you know what? They're right. And yes, they are the ones who believe in and preach about abstinence. But that's them. That isn't necessarily the same viewpoint her daughter has. So what does it matter? The things that people are saying about her are uncalled for and shouldn't be said. It's just a matter of basic decency and respect for another person.

I don't want to hear about how it's "hypocritical" considering what has been said about Obama. That's such c**p when used as a reason for why everyone is harping on the story about Palin's daughter. Newsflash: It's not a good reason. That doesn't justify anything.

  3. Hey Lizz, nice uppercut to Palin. I agree 100%. If she wants to take away a woman's right to choose which I see as a personal decision, then Palin deserves whatever she gets from this revelation.

The usual twist was applied, or at least tried, but she is so new to the trail that it will raise eyebrows. If this is the first bit of news that we can learn about her, I hope more unfolds. I don't like hypocrites.

  4. I think it's pretty hypocritical for the Republican party to demand privacy for this family when they wouldn't hesitate to rip apart the child of a Democratic candidate for something like this.

And I highly doubt that Palin's daughter had any say in this whatsoever. Just a hunch.

  5. Little Trigs condition wasnt kept private.  I would have never known.  Why didnt Bristol get a "with child: after her name when originally announced.

  6. Excellent point.  It's total hypocrisy since privacy is exactly what they will destroy with their supreme court nominations.

  7. Their platform issue used to be "experienced to lead", now they deny that it was a part of their platform. Nothing surprises me about the GOP anymore (except Palin's nomination as VP).

  8. Republicans LOVE spying on others, Hence the Patriot Act. Now they ask for privacy, WHAT A BUNCH OF HYPOCRITICAL FLIP FLOPPING LIARS!

  9. So right--they've been attacking the Obama family for over a year.  And can you even BEGIN to imagine what they would be saying if Obama had a pregnant daughter?  OMG!!

  10. They are trying to make this a Private Family issue so that you can't talk about it. The real issue is the idiot mother who is against sexual education about contraception. She is lucky her daughter didn't get an std.
