  1. What do you think of him as a person?

I have seen him talking in an interview on tv...n i must say....he has got the most beautiful soul.....he is as humble and sweet as he seems while singing

What do you think of his nasheeds?

He is one of my favorite...because i dont consider music haraam....it all depends on the kind of lyrics and poetry being used

  2. sami  yusuf is good

but nadia khan  show suxs in Pakistan

    she is L*****n and prostitute

    its true

  3. OMG Sami Yusuf, masha'allah is amazing! i love his nasheeds Al-Muallim and Hasbi Rabbi (i think thats what its called) - he's got a pure, angelic voice and i love the way he can sing in several languages. wow!

edit: okay the other answerers are giving negative opinions. like he's doing unislamic things? well either way, his nasheeds are lovely and i also love junaid jamshaid's naats!

  4. He's a singer and his songs are considered Music.

He takes the position of Yusuf al-Qaradaawee on Music which is a Majrooh position (meaning it's been refuted by Ahlul 'Ilm).

Even Yvonne Ridley called him out on that (that's quite funny).

But the bottom line is that this is not permissible.

Benefit yourself with the Qur'aan and not these anaasheed which have no basis in Islaam. You don't get any nearer to Allaah with these.

As for the Duff, it's only permissible to be played by women during 'Eids.

The Sahaabah considered the man who beat the Duff as an effeminate man. Imaam ash-Shaafi'ee said his testimony is to be rejected.

  5. I personally don't listen to him.. i heard some sheikhs has advised him to quit singing, cuz when in his concerts, there are some girls screaming here and there?.. ~madness.. idk

I prefer Muhammad Al-Husayn & Ahmed Bukhatir(no music, just a very soulful voice)..

  6. I don't know him as a person.

Unfortunately, something about his nasheeds put me to sleep (and not in the good way!), I don't know why.

  7. Well I don't know him as a person, I can't really comments much on that but I think his nasheeds are really nice...yesterday I went to a Muslim Heritage Day where I live, and they played his nasheed

also he has a beautiful voice Mashallah

  8. it ia haram in islam

  9. music in his nasheeds makes it songs, Ma'azef are Haram,,

  11. He s an ideal islamic icon..ther s really something to look upon him. And his nasheeds r really heart touching and his lyrics r simple yet meaningful. He s definately using his voice for gud cause. Good natured and respectable personality. God bless..

  12. Oh I love listening to his nasheeds sister, they are so beautiful. I agree, "Beloved Mother" is also my favorite! I listen to him in the car on the way to the masjid, it keeps you focused! As a person, he was a guest on this one Pakistani talk show, and he seemed like a very very humble and kind person. Unusually so, like he was so nice, he reminded me of the imam at my masjid. Very good person, mashallah.
