Also his plan for seniors, the Republican party is a party for the leites and the corporations, the Democratic party is for the people and always will. If you are a middle class person it makes a lot more sense to vote for Obama.

  1. It is a bald faced lie. Obama's hike on Capital Gains and Dividends will more than offset the income tax cut that he plans. His tax for Africa is more than double what he claims his cut will be.

What will happen is that anyone who invests in the stock market thought 401K, independent companies and other retirement plans and mutual funds will get soaked to the point that their rate of return will be negative when adjusted for inflation. Your grandma and grandpa who live mostly off dividends will be soon saying goodbye to them as when the tax rate on them is doubled, dividend paying stocks will disappear.

The direct result of this action will be a stock market crash that will fulfill the desires of democrats who do not even pay taxes, much less deserve a tax cut.

  2. Its an absolute joke. Those of us who get screwed by not having kids get screwed by those who do. Im sick and tired of having to pay for someone elses kids.

  3. I like McCain's $7,000 child tax credit better. I believe McCain can deliver. I don't trust anything Obama says.

  4. Too little. Better than the Republicans but definitely not good enough by any objective standard. Better than Republicans is easy but does not change the reality both mayor US parties are against the working class.

Obama has reciprocated Wall Street’s support for his campaign by putting forward a tax policy that is far more favorable towards multi-millionaire and billionaire investors than had been anticipated.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal on August 14, Obama’s principal economic advisors presented a plan that would hike capital gains and dividend taxes for those making more than $200,000 a year to only 20 percent, from the current 15 percent. The Democratic candidate had been expected to nearly double the capital gains tax—returning it to the rate that existed under Reagan and Bush as well as during the first term of the Clinton administration—and increase the tax on dividends to 40 percent.

By ruling out any materially significant increase in taxes on finance capital, Obama and the Democrats have effectively precluded any measures to improve living standards, increase public spending or boost employment. A Democratic administration in 2009 will spell a continuation and deepening of the attacks on living standards as American capitalism continues to confront its deepest crisis since the great depression of the 1930s.

Obama has repeatedly made it clear that the real thrust of his domestic policy will be the demand for fiscal responsibility. Under conditions in which the budget deficit will be approaching $500 billion by next year and with continued massive military spending, this can only mean stepped up attacks on working people

  5. yup

  6. I would prefer no tax cuts whatsoever.  We need to learn to use less energy, and the money can be better spent in rebuilding our intrastucture, schools, healthcare, etc.

$1,000 won't really do that much for families; but, put all that money together and it can do a lot for the nation.

I would also roll back the Bush tax cuts.

And I agree with the man about kids.  You have a kid, seems like everybody wants to give you money, Democrats and Republicans.  Meanwhile we who did not have children we cannot support end up paying for it.

  7. Are you talking about the Energy Tax Credit, where the government takes money from one entity to give it to another entity.

Middle class for Obama..  He wants Universal Health care.  Most middle class people I know have health care insurance provided through there work.  If Obamas plan becomes reality, those people will not have health care through there work.  Why should the employer give it when it is being mandated through the federal government.

Middle class America will not be compensated for that loss of benefit through there employer.  Obamas plan will cost more than Obama reports.  Most economists predict this.  So where will he have to get that extra money from?  The middle class people, the one he says he will lower their taxes.  So Middle class America will actually be out more money.

Makes since for middle class America to vote for Obama, yeah right.

  8. Not so much. See, you want to punish corporations, and the people who invest their money and create jobs. I work for a corporation that was started by a rich guy. Most of us Americans do. I'm smart enough to realize that if my employer does well, I do well. As my name suggests, I'm a trucker. When my employer is doing well, he gives me raises and buys new equipment more often, which keeps me out of the repair shop and on the road making money. When other businesses do well, you know, the ones started by those awful rich people, there are more people shipping goods which means I spend less time sitting in the truck stop waiting for my dispatcher to find me a load and more time on the road making money for me. Call me crazy, but I actually like it when rich people do well.

  9. The Democrats supported slavery in the United States.  During the Civil War New York City attempted to secede and join the Confederacy.  Democrats opposed Civil Rights.  These actions caused the genocide of Africans in the United States.

The Democratic party is directly responsible for the Genocide of Africans in the United States.  Read "We Charge Genocide" by Paul Robeson and William L. Patterson.

Only scum belong to or support genocidal political parties like the Democrats or the n***s.

Obama is like on of those black confederate soldiers sent out to fight who didn't care much why they were given a gun and allowed to shoot at white people, they only cared someone was giving them the chance to shoot white people, even if it meant supporting a group devoted to genocide.

Today the Democrats idolize their pro-slavery past by using Andrew Jackson's pro-slavery donkey symbol.

  10. I don't think this is the time for tax cuts. Heath care reform is more important and so is reducing the deficit.

  11. How about a tax cut for those of actually carrying the load.  Investors and high value workers are the ones who keep the economy running.

  12. I think it's ludicrous and will end up costing more than what you 'think' you'll get in return.  Do you not believe that the oil companies won't up their prices to compensate?  Obama is merely buying votes, or attempting to and you folks are buying into the lunacy.

Here's how his 'tax cut' will end up working!  The beneficiaries will not be the people.
