What do you think of TD celebrations?

I think that when a player rushes in or catches 4 yd pass for a touhdown its pretty stupid, i mean thats what they are paid to do when they are in the Redzone. But on the other hand when you go straight up the gut for 50 or 60 yds or return it all the way on a kick off then there is probably reason to celebrate. What Do You Think?

  1. I love them especially when its my team that scores.  If u have every played football then you would know the rush u get when u do score a touchdown or get a sack or int.  For all the people who said its stupid or the one guy that hates when guys get a sack then jump up and do something.  What do u guys want the sport to be dull and boring?  I get excited when my team gets a sack and the player starts going crazy.  I wish the players could still lean over the QB and say shlt to them.  The game is meant to be fun and entertaining. Why would u want to take away a entertaining part.  They already did with taking away team celebrations.  So stop whinning and enjoy the game.  Those guys worked hard to get were they are let them celebrate,  they could blow their knee out the next play.

  2. Start chanting

    FIGHT ON!!!

  3. It is easy to sit back and say that they are doing there job, but you obviously don't know what it is like to compete. There is a lot of adrenaline and excitement involved in the game, and when they are the one that makes the play, how can they not get excited. There job is to entertain and they do a good job at it. Get over it and worry about real problems in the NFL.

  4. I've thought about this before.....Football is a team sport. But when you score that touchdown, the stage is yours all eyes are on you.Why not celebrate? That might be the winning touchdown or the only touchdown your team scores. It may be the 4th touchdown you've scored.

  5. I agree... heck I could run the ball 4yrds for a TD so your right it is stupid... I believe anything more than 35yrds is something worth celebrating...especially if u break some ankles doing so... but anything in the Redzone is useless... the only time in acceptable is if it near the end of the 4th quarter and you score and put your team ahead but even then your team will be jumping on you

  6. IT SHOULD LAST NO LONGER THAN 3 SECONDS

  7. I think it's a shame the NFL is so tough on the players over this issue.  The players should celebrate and pander to the crowds.  I miss TO's sharpie, Ocho Cinco's Riverdance and Steve Smith changing diapers.

The best was when Randy Moss mooned the crowd at Lambeau... and you know what?  Most Packer fans actually appreciated that!  What a hoot!

Let em celebrate - but yeah peeps should have, you know perspective... sometime showing no emotion whatsoever also sends a message to the other team.  If players over celebrate they look kinda stupid.

    I think these things qualify:

Game winning field goal, TD, etc.

A TD that changes the momentum.

    A sack.

    An INT.

    A fumble.

    A huge 4th down conversion.

  8. I know what you are saying. It is like when a player makes a tackle, and jumps up an celebrates, "YaY! I did my job" Lame. When it is spectacular, cool, but when just caught a ball, like your are supposed to, and you celebrate like you just won the SuperBowl, lame.

But the argument can be made that part of the job is to celebrate, to pump your team up, or the fans.

  9. Back in the day was cool to get a jersey or football from favorite player but these days people will just resell them to make money so played out.

  10. I like certain touchdown celebrations, the Lambeua leap, spiking, flipping and stuff, but sometimes it's taken to far. I especially do not like dancing for celebration.
