What do you think of Tacoma, Washington?

Ok, im thiking of living with my grandmother in tacoma, washington, and i was wondering if anyone who lives there or has been there what they think of it? Things like, weather, schools, places to go(museums, shopping centers, ect.), or anything else.

  1. Actually it's about 45 minutes south of Seattle.

    The weather is pretty much the same as Seattle - a lot of overcast days, and drizzle, but when it is sunny, it's gorgeous.

    There are many different shopping centers all around the city, and there is a medium-sized mall as well.

    As far as museums go, there is the Tacoma Art Museum, the Museum of Glass, and the Washington State History Museum, all located in downtown Tacoma.

    There is also Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium if you're interested. And in the summer, if you like baseball, you can watch the Tacoma Rainiers play at Cheney Stadium.

  2. I was there once, and I loved it.  Just north of Seattle.  Personally, I adore the cooler weather.  If I could find work there (nothing in the film industry) I'd live there.  Visit, see what You think. (Go)
