  1. I think I just answered this question...? Yes, it is good for trail riding. However, I much prefer the Barefoot saddles. http://www.barefootsaddle.com/faq.html#e...

and I am the disabled rider these boras are supposedly made for! Here's my answer to the endurance rider: :-)

Hi!  I am a disabled rider and needed a secure light saddle to use with no stirrups for dressage and heavy trail riding. (up to 6 hours a day) It also needed to fit any horse, especially my Spanish ones.

I first tried the Torsion dressage and Bora. The dressage was not good, but the bora cantle sure made a secure seat. What I didn't like was the saddle felt very wide in the hips and the seam on the back of the seat rubbed me through my britches. I live in Germany, so it's easy to try these saddles out!

I then tried a similar saddle called Barefoot. http://www.barefootsaddle.com/ I lie the seat design much more because it comes up to the back of the cantle. For some reason the seat feels less wide, though design of these saddles is identical from what i could see! They don't have a cant;e like the Bora though, bt i made my own.with a temperpedic

pad in a leather sleeve strapped on.

I needed to make knee rolls because of my legs and no stirrups. I started with the Barefoot Cheyenne model, like the torsion models. I used this safely for 3 years. I even rode completions and orienteering with it, plus many hours on the trails. it was comfy and safe. For any treeless you MUST buy the pad that goes with it. For endurance, you'll need the deluxe one with thicker panels. I added my on foam panels. It feels more like a western seat than English and tales getting used to.

I took this same saddle to Africa for my two week Safari, with no stirrups 6 hours a day on a bouncy horrid horse. It was awesome! The horse owner bought it from me so I could fit more souvenirs in my duffel. LOL  http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/236...

Now i have the barefoot London saddle, which needs no extra attachments because their newer models (all of them) all have higher Cantles. I tried my foam cantle copied from the Bora on my new saddle, but don't need it. http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/201...

This model has an even more narrow feel in the seat than the cheyene, but is still wide to a dressage rider. LOL I lOVE it, but it takes a few rides to get used to.

If you like less under your legs, and no knee rolls, I'd go for the Barefoot Atlanta.http://www.barefootsaddle.com/_images/lg...

I have not tried it myself, but it would be nice with western fenders I'm sure! The lady on this sight is very helpful, these saddle are very good. I feel the leather of the dressage saddle is the best, but the others are OK. These are more than half the price of Torsion.

I hope this helps you. These are great endurance saddles and my horse will not go any any other saddle I have tried on him. He runs from them. Give the saddle three rides to get used to the odd seat!

Here is endurance info from the company:  http://www.barefootsaddle.com/faq.html#e...

Most rider like the Cheyenne for this.

    GL!!!!
