What do you think of UK teacher's wages?

I always hear teachers moan about them, but really, they earn more than a lot of other people do. Enough to live pretty comfortably anyway.

i never knew they got paid more than US teachers, but i've always wanted to become a teacher in the UK because of the better conditions and maybe better students.

They earn more than alot of other people do because they have an advanced education. If you compare their pay to people with like education levels you will see that its 15-25 percent lower than other professions.

And then they have to constantly defend themselves against people who spout freely.
