  1. The idea that US Magazine is somehow a reputable source of journalism is laughable. Someone on here said that they were canceling their subscriptions to Time/Newsweek, etc., apparently because of their outrage at US Magazine.  

    US Magazine is a tabloid, not a news magazine. It is beyond ridiculous that anyone would put it in the category of a news magazine, in the same league as Time and Newsweek. They likely did a feature on Mrs. Obama because US Magazine in general is marketed toward younger readers, who have more interest in the Obamas. They publish the story about Gov. Palin because, lets face it, its a marketable story.


  2. No surprise there.  We all know who they're in the tank for.  It's a betrayal to the American public of gargantuan proportion.

    they've been nominated--for chrissakes--she and her wonderful family

    deserve the praise.

    sarah hid the pregnancy--when john first vetted her that girl was not pregnant and soon became pregnant, and the mom hid it.


  4. This happened because her scandals have just broke.  When Michelle said her being proud of America quote, she was heavily criticized.  If Palin would have been picked months ago, her scandals would have probably been behind her, already.

  8. I don't see the connection. Did Michelle hide a moral/family value issue from the press when she was chosen to run as the "moral majority" vice president?

  14. It's a tabloid. They make their money by appealing to the broadest suspicions of the mass market. Obviously they think more people will buy the magazine if they report on Palin's peccadillos, rather than parroting Republican talking points on the cover.

    It probably also has something to do with the fact that nobody knows what Palin stands for as a politician.

    Oh, and also more people support Obama so the market for Obama fluff pieces is greater. It's just supply and demand.

    They are totally out of touch with Middle America.

    They bash the National Enquirer and it took almost two YEARS for the TRUE story of their darling Democrat John Edwards' love child to be taken seriously.

    Any rumor about a conservative or Republican hits the front page of the New York Times IMMEDIATELY with quotes from "anonymous sources."

    Doesn't matter if it's true or not.

    They report allegations and rumors.

  20. This is the exact reason I have cancelled my subscription to Newsweek, Time, New York Times and a few other left leaning liberal rags.

    Then as soon as someone who is black comes on the ticket; she changes her mind =D
