What do you think of University of Ottawa, Canada?

Is it good?

How about its location?

Is Ottawa a nice place to study?

Is it a lively city?

What about transportation?

I'm from London...any comparisons?

Do people there speak English or French?

it s a great university of you like it big, much better then Toronto.

I graduated from there about 15 years ago.  I loved it.  The location is in the heart of downtown.  It is a beautiful city but it is not a large city so it is quieter than say Toronto.  I think it would be similar to London.  The city bus system was great when I was there.  People speak both English and French.  If you go to a restaurant they may approach you in French but as soon as you speak English, they will switch.  

A good school with a good reputation.

I don't consider it a good university. Of the larger universities it is the least respected.

The campus is central Ottawa so that is good.

I've lived in Ottawa for 8 years now. I went to university at Western. I prefer London. Ottawa is ok but not great. Despite being bigger than London the nightlife is comparable.  I find cost of living is higher in Ottawa.

I don't use public transportation but if the goal is to get to Ottawa U campus you should be fine.

There is a lot of French here but everyone speaks English. You are here to study not work so the issue of not speaking French shouldn't come up.
