I would have various types of designs for bikes, as well as paints, that you would put on the bike to make it cool. Would that sound like something you would want to have on your bicycle?

  1. Dont listen to him............hes a loser!  Anyway, I think as a costomer it would be cool to have like a tricked out bike, but I dont know how many other people would have custom work done to a bike.

  2. Good idea, as long as you are artistic and have a variety of ideas.

  3. Sure.  Anything artistic is cool.  Go for it.

  4. Hello,

I think that is a great idea... Get a website rolling about your new art work... Try Godaddy or Tahoe Web Service... Niche market to bike shops. I know in the Lake Tahoe area (mountian bike meca) the bike shops are always looking for cool things to place on bikes.. Your onto a good idea so you should roll with it...

  5. I like the idea. With gas prices continuing to rise, bikes are gaining alot in popularity. You could position yourself on the cutting edge of custom bikes in your area.

Someone else said the only bad idea is one that was never tried. I really like that sentiment. And he is completely right.

Put a website together and learn everything you can about internet marketing. If you have truly unique and functional designs, you may be able to sell your products on a national or even global scale. That's where internet marketing comes into play. You will hit more potential customers for every dollar spent.

    Good Luck.

  6. Okay your not a loser...   Good h**l to the first poster.

The only bad idea is one that isnt tried.   Now if you are a great designer your tricked out bikes might cost them 20K.  Its a blue suit, but one is an armani the other is from mans wearhouse.  Nobody knows the difference from 20 feet away.  But the person wearing it feels the difference.

I just dont know your market.  I think alot would be word of mouth.  Say you trick out 10-20 of these bikes in different areas for free.  And people say thats a kewl bike who did it, thats some good word of mouth.  Good luck and never let somebody say it cant work, because sometimes it does.  But dont expect it to be easy.

Send me some pictures of your bikes.  If 1 person wants one, there are 1000 people that will follow.  Then you are looking at getting bought out.  But I dont think you will get anywhere until you get the first person.

Make it an art, thats your best chance.

    Good Luck.
