  1. try saying their name first

like sometimes we get caught up in our own world

my dad does it = it does get annoying, esp when we

talk and then don't for about a minute at dinner, then

he drifts off (mentally) and asks 'what' when we start

    talking again

its not like a medical condition, I'm sure, maybe its

just the natural reaction of some ppl

  2. I absolutely HATE that. My friends and family talk about that all of the time.  It is rude and annoying.  When someone says that to me...I usually get very ugly.

  3. I would it annoying but if they had a problem with always doing that and not meaning to id try to help them out. i dont know why the reason is..

  4. OMG, I hate it when people do that!!! IDK why they do it but it sure is annoying. Or like when people ask "What happened" as a greeting? IDK some people I guess never got taught the basic conversation techniques.

  5. I have that problem.  For some reason my mind doesn't register speech as well when I'm not paying direct attention to someone.

    Its frustrating.
