Has the New Talent Initiative on ECW and Smackdown impressed you? Do the new wrestlers look like promising talent or a waste of TV time?

  1. R Truth looked good. Apart from that no, most have been a waste of time.

  2. The ones that have stuck around have been very interesting to watch.  Technically, right now, the only surviving initiative rookies are Evan Bourne and Ricky Ortiz, both of which I'm fairly into.  If you want to count Scotty Goldman into the mix as well, then you have three very solid workers.

Now the question is do I think these guys will make something of themselves?  Maybe.  Goldman and Bourne are excellent in-ring talents, and Scotty's no slouch on the mic either.  Ricky Ortiz is a very charismatic athlete, but I don't know how well Goldman and Bourne fit in the WWE mold.  I've been a fan of Goldman since he was known as Colt Cabana on the indy circuit, and I've never viewed his comedic style of chain wrestling as something the WWE would seriously be interested in pushing, and Bourne, a.k.a. Matt Sydal, seems a bit too high risk for the company's taste.  Ortiz is new to me, and while he's a charismatic and passible ring worker, I question how truly over he's getting.

I hate to have a wait and see attitude, but I guess we'll just have to see how long they stick around.  They all have something new to contribute to the WWE...but the question is, does the WWE want something new?

  3. I like some of the new guys. Some would be better if the creative team would come up with something better for them.

But I like have new people on. All the shows get old if they don't bring new wrestlers in.

  4. yeah some of 'em r good....................!

  5. I love all the new talent that they are bringing in, but the question is does WWE like them? Are they just gonna give up on them after most of them have spent years in WWE's developmental teritory FCW?

Cause, appearently... now it could be wrong or blown out of proportion a bit but I read on wrestlezone.com that WWE creative team is not impressed by some of the new superstars, it mentions Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana), Ryan Braddock and Gavin Spears, I personally dont get the it..

"Scotty" was awesome on the mic and and had a very entertaining match, he actually has a combination of WRESTLING SKILL and comedy, which is more than what they can say about Santino Marella who is the IC champ yet he barely wrestles in the ring....(I'm pretty sure he can if they let him)

Ryan Braddock has only been in a squash match against Big Show, but I already see that he has great potential, JR thinks so too appearently as in his blog he wrote to watch outfor him as "he will be turning heads" or something like that...

Spears is great too in my opinion, he is very good on the mic, and not bad in the ring

WWE need to aknowledge their true potetial for them to have career in WWE
