  1. I think you need to weigh the pros and cons.  As a mom of 2 boys with special needs I have been considering doing this when they are younger but letting them make the choice when they get older.


  2. I THINK it is a pretty good idea because from what i remember at schools, the special needs people a lot of times get made fun of and its not right. I agree homesschool them and then let them choose

I have Asperger's Syndrome and after essentially being expelled from school after 3rd grade, I was homeschooled until 9th grade when I chose to go back to public school.  I think that was the best choice my parents made for me, but each child is different.  Bear in mind that if you do choose to homeschool, the student may still have to take standardized tests issued by the school.  Then again, if the student is getting the individualized education of homeschooling, he/she might just ace those tests.
