  1. So bailey yes and no, if you are a vegetarian you would have a lower risk of getting all the diseases and germs in the meat, but meat is an excellent source of protein, so if your able to gain back that protein u will be just fine, and also think of the many cows life u spared! good luck bailey!

  2. i`ve been veg since March 2003...very healthy and fit till today...no problems at all...

  3. Of course it's healthy.  I've been a vegetarian for 14 years and I've never had ANY health problems.  I'm much more healthy than your average meat-eater, as confirmed by my doctor.

People don't NEED meat to survive.  In fact, it's more detrimental to health than beneficial.

  4. think twice..

do your own research,be your own judge and jury...

  5. I've been vegetarian for six years and vegan for five.

I can't say that there have been any problems.

People don't need meat for anything, it us just a personal choice to eat it.

  6. It is healthy, but that doesn't mean you should avoid all meat all the time. Alot of people don't know this and probably won't agree to it, but you do need meat in your diet, if you didn't then it wouldn't be in the food pyramid.     I know some vegitarians who's doctors recomended some type of pills or to actually eat some meat because meat does offer some of the things our bodies need. I guess it just depends on the person and their body, and I saw someone say they are healthier then a meat eater, some people might need meat bc of what they offer to our body.

  7. Yes it is Very Healthy .... It Gives a A Energy Which We cannot Get from Meat or other things....

Vegetables are Very Healthy You Know!

    Bye

  8. It can be healthy or unhealthy, just research the subject. I know vegetarians with high blood pressure, diabetes and other health issues, just because you're a vegetarian doesn't automatically make you a healthy individual.

  9. I've been vegan for almost a year and my health has drastically improved since then.  I've lost 12 pounds (I don't work out), I have more energy, my skin has improved, I haven't gotten sick at all, and I have more stamina.

Research has shown that vegetarians are 50 percent less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40 percent of the cancer rate of meat-eaters. Plus, meat-eaters are nine times more likely to be obese than vegans are.

The consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy products has also been strongly linked to osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, asthma, and male impotence. Scientists have also found that vegetarians have stronger immune systems than their meat-eating friends; this means that they are less susceptible to everyday illnesses like the flu. Vegetarians and vegans live, on average, six to 10 years longer than meat-eaters.

  10. A vegetarian diet really isn't that much different from any other diet. It can be healthy; it can be unhealthy. Beer and cheese pizza and French fries can all be vegetarian. But healthy? Nah. Same goes for jelly donuts and deep-fried ice cream.

Whether something contains meat or not doesn't have all that much bearing on whether or not it is healthy.

That being said, avoiding animal products also pretty effectively removes saturated fat and cholesterol for your diets. As humans, we have no dire need for saturated fat, and can generally get away with less cholesterol than we normally eat.

Overall, I think that vegetarians eat more healthfully than non-vegetarians, if for no other reason than the fact that they eat more mindfully. But a vegetarian diet is not going to be automatically healthy any more than a diet that includes meat is going to be unhealthy.

  11. Yes, it is, as long as you make sure your protein intake is sufficient, make sure you always have a supply of legumes, fish and meat alternatives... and it is a very good diet.
