What do you think of bikers?

I love bikers...as long as they're not h**l's Angels. Haha. It would suck to run into one of them and express my anti-war beliefs. I think that bikers are the image of freedom, and they have a good taste in music, and their style is really awesome and they have a really good outlook of life and really good personalities, but many people look down on bikers? Why is that?

  1. I think it is because when a lot of people think of bikers, the assume everyone is criminal something like that.  The ones who look down on us, most likly have never taken the time to visit with people who ride and ask why we do what we do.  What is really funny, is I have met some h***s Angels...and to tell you the truth, they were really nice guys...granted I would not want to end up on their **** list.  Most bikers are great people and in todays world, you run across so many types of people who ride...from hard core bikers, to weekend riders, to everything in between...but we all have one thing in common...our love for riding and the feeling we get from it.  And then their are other, who think that motorcycle are "dangerous" and that people who ride them are just plain nuts.  But no matter what people think about me and my bike, I am not going to stop riding, and I hope someday, my sons will be riding with me on their own bikes.  I love it, and those who don't well, its your loss.

  2. Lots of uptight people. I don't care what any of them think.  They don't dare look down on me when they tow their car to my shop. LOL

  3. People look down on bikers? Really? Tom Cruise just bought the new Ducati Desmosedeci RR and Jay Leno has an MV Agusta F4 Serie Oro so I don't know what you're talking about "look down". There's even bikes at the Italiano Concorso with the Ferrari, Lamborghinis, and Maseratis.

  4. I think bikers are a dirty rotten, worthless bums. And I'm never gonna change. Whats wrong with HAs?

  5. bikers have come a long way as far as image goes. now it`s toys for tots and poker runs for charity and so on. bikers are enjoying the benefits of shows on tv that also portray bikers in a good light. a local bike club in my town even has a  thrift store in the bad section of town. it`s more like a community center. and do you know what one of those motorcycles cost? i can tell you there ain`t no bums on a harley.

  6. Lots of bikers are pretty regimented and aren't really into "freedom" as much as they'd like to believe.  Many are military types who believe in the freedom to be just like them, and look down on those who are not.

  7. I love bikers!!! I think people think that bikers commit alot of crime. It's not true. You have bad apples in evey kind of groups. My dad is a biker and so is my uncle. I ride with them all the time. I'm getting ready in September to go to Reno Street Vibrations. That is a fun run, I go every year.

  8. Google h**l's Angels and The Outlaws motorcycle clubs. The things you will read are reports on their illegal activities and their clubs damage control defense. Are they all bad? No, but some chapters are worse than others. Some are drugs and prostitution. They are the same for the most part as a cross section of our society but their activities are amplified by the fact that they are "running in packs". They have been portrayed in movies and on television as being ruthless (in which they are when screwed with). MOST bikers are nice guys but you have an occasional a$$hole in every crowd. I don't ride with any club or "gang" but also don't particularly avoid them either. We all make choices of what we do and I choose to ride alone. I have been invited to ride with both a christian club and a few of the outlaws at one time or another. I rode with neither. I turned down a ride to Bartow Fl a few months ago but just MAY go next year to experience the "gang" mentality? LOL

  9. Bikers are cool, I want to take lessons and learn how to ride soon. I like Euro bikes and cafe racers.

  10. becuase most people look upon bikers as trouble makers which isnt really the case, my schools groundskeeper was a biker for the "rebelz" but was also a great guy and a grandad
