How much are carnations usually?

What do you think of carnations for wedding flowers? Do they last well during the course of the day?

While the pictures are very pretty, I would not choose them for a wedding flower.  

Carnations (and their smell) remind me of funeral flowers.

wow, i would have never thought they would look so pretty because carnations are such a cheap and typical flower but if you did something like the picture it would look gorgeous!! It would be a cheap option for sure!! something worth looking into!!

Carnations are extremely cheap, and as you posted can look very elegant if done up nicely.

Each florist will differ and it also differs by where you live, but generally carnations are about $1.00-$1.50 each!!  Very cheap.  Check with your local florist.

And....carnations hold up better than any other flower I know!  They will last for weeks!

Carnations are my favorite flower!  They are perfect for a wedding.  They are reasonably priced and very hearty!  Good idea!

They are a good, full, reasonable, available year-round, and sturdy flower.  And also available in a good selection of colors naturally and are pretty easy to dye other colors, too.

They are my #1 choice for my own wedding.

I know some people don't like them, but when you see them in bouquets like what you have posted, you can see the versatility and beauty of this flower.

Thats a good choice!

they are soo pretty but i would use those for the reception and use white roses or gardenias as the bouqet. I just think that would look more classey but thats just my opinion.

They are wonderful and smell good too. Much more lasting than roses and look the same whereas roses may change from tight to open or even droopy

they are certainly cheaper than roses, which will reduce your flower cost alot, they are hardy and should hold up all day and night,  Congradulations on your weddings I wish you a life time of happiness

Carnations last VERY long and come in SEVERL different colors they are very pretty. I think that is a very good idea and you made a smart decisions!

no offense,  but I view carnations as what your boyfriend gives you at the 6th grade dance.  Maybe look into easter lilies if you want something fairly cheap that holds up.
