Picture this: its a 10km race, many are running in it. But when you look at the runners, you see a 220pounder running, he is lagging behind but still pacing up till he finishes as last or whatever.

What would you think of that man? Feel free to make any comments.

  1. hes working on himself to be fit without letting critisism hit him. i adore people like that.

i have more respect for those who thier butt giggles and out of breath than the others because they have alot of respect for themselves.

  2. I think.."good for him!"

  3. that he is very courageous

  4. I would think that man is pushing himself to the limits. I am a heavy-set man, well, basically fat, 345 lbs fat. and I run 3 to 4 times a week, I average 5 miles every time i run. People can say that I am fat, but I am HEALTHY. More healthier than a person within his weight that doesn't exercises.

  5. I would say to myself that that man has heart to do something that most people are so subconscious about. And for people to take after his ways of thinking.

  6. I would think that it was good that he was willing to run 10k, his weight wouldn't be an issue.  That he was lagging wouldn't matter, that he was able to finish would be a good thing because a lot of people wouldn't or couldn't.

  7. I think the person is doing something good for himself and should be praise for his efforts.

  8. I would be indifferent. He is here to be judged as a runner and not for his size. I wouldn't see a fat man, I would see a runner who is working on his stamina and timing for more races or marathons to come up.

P.S: Not all skinny runners are fast and fit and not all fat runners are slow and unhealthy.

  9. I think "Wait for me, fat dude!"

10k?  This sounds like one heck of an accomplishment, sure he knew from the start he wasn't a top 3 finisher, but he's probably there because he is inspired or loves the sport, just like you, i'm assuming, do too.  For all we know, he could have health issues that give him this weight, that could happen to anyone.  And you said it yourself, he made it to the end.
