What do you think of feminists who point out your grammar flaws and dodge answering inconvenient questions?

It has never happened to me because my English is impeccable. However, I have seen it happen to many posters with valid questions that feminists just could not handle. Your thoughts please.

  1. I do this from time to time with people who ask ignorant, not inconvenient, questions. They are not valid questions, they are rants. If people choose to act like idiots then they should be able to handle having their idiocy pointed out to them.

Good point johno > I'm sure you can catch me out sometime :-)

Cassius - you've blocked every feminist here so they couldn't respond to your moronic posts even if they wanted to. Though why anyone would want to answer the same question fifteen times is beyond me.

  2. You can get your own back on the feminists who point out bad spelling and grammar at the weekends, this is when they usually hit the wine.

    *hey Sam > naughty naughty.

    Johno - 1

    Sam - 0

    ;-D

  3. Their mind is all over the place.

    I expect they are multitasking.

  4. A question can't be 'dodged.' Dodge is a physical action verb and cannot be preformed by questions as they are conceptual. (This is assuming the question is spoken and not written on paper; as paper can most certainly be dodged.)  A question can be contemplated, answered, and ignored, but not dodged.

  5. From what I've seen, pointing out grammatical errors is usually part of the answer, the rest of which actually is an answer.

By the way, you missed the comma in "Your thoughts, please." ;)

  6. You know if someone doesn't want to answer a question they can just not answer it. It's not like anyone is on trial here. If someone points out another's grammar it's probably because they are saying: "Why ur womens so dum?"

  7. I don't care if they're feminists or not, and feminists don't do it any more frequently than any other group of people, but I HATE it when people completely derail a valid argument by pointing out insignificant grammatical errors. Ugh.

  8. When I point out flaws in grammar, I do it to inform the person so hopefully they can learn and not do it again, but that has nothing whatsoever to do with my response. As for valid questions feminists could not handle, I think that is an excuse you are trying to make to defend men against the Truth. Feminists can handle any question that comes their way, but not many guys can handle the answers they get so they resort to whining about the fact their grammar is incorrect and pointed out to them as such, rather than admitting their mistakes.

  9. To boost their ego or position - standard fight or flight tactic for most humans, male or female.

  10. This has happened to me.

I basically lose ALL respect for those people. Such behavior is "childish", "anal",  "Nit-picking" and "petty".

These people are destined to fail in life because they lack the maturity and open mindedness to come out of their "bubble" and expand their thinking.

I've never pointed out a spelling mistake because frankly.. I don't give a sh*t! Have more important things to do, like ..um.... ANYTHING ELSE...

  11. I have seen many non- and anti-feminists do this. In both cases, I just think as long as someone else answers the question, then it's fine. They're just not interested in that particular topic. However, people who take flaws shown by all groups of people then limit it to "feminists" or "anti-feminists" as you have done I usually think are capable of misrepresenting anything or have a strong perceptual bias, so probably ignore valid answers to questions anyway.

  12. I'm not sure in that I understand you're question, so I will think that I'm not gonna answer it.

  13. It is hard to take someone seriously if they are partially illiterate.  Spell check takes 2 seconds.  If they don't care about their questions why should I care about the answer?

Why do you think only feminist are offended by poorly constructed writing?  Are you saying that feminists are the only ones smart enough to notice the mistakes?

It insults me that I even am gulled into taking the time to read a question that someone didn't take the time to proof-check.

  14. I think the very same thing that I think when anyone resorts to such tactics. Feminsits are not the only people to do this and I am certain that you know that. It is not reflective of 'feminists' but people in general; some people do it, others don't, feminism does not come into it. You may communicate in standard written English but the content of what you say is sub-standard. If an Austrian woman commits a crime it would be foolish to think that Austrian women are the cause for all crime when you know that the fact that the criminal is both female and Austrian has little relevance.

Edit: Wind Farm Horse- Male or female? I think you mean 'feminist or non-feminist'.

Surely you mean 'flaws in grammer' or 'grammatical flaws'?

  15. I used to do that eons ago, but gave up because it became too frequent, too overwhelming, too redundant, and too pointless.  I also got violations for not answering the question so, being reasonably intelligent, decided the effort to educate wasn't worth it.  If I have to reread something more than twice in an effort to understand it, I'll just move on to the next one now instead.

It has nothing to do with being a valid question or not.  If, as in your case, impeccable English is a sign of intelligence, then unreadable posts are a sign of stupidity and stupid people typically don't post valid questions.

  16. They don't want to answer the question; it's a plain and as simple as that.

  17. Unfortunately, whining about people's grammar and spelling seems to be something that a lot of people do on yahoo answers, whether they are feminist or not.  I don't know why, but Americans seem to be obsessed with spelling.  Standardised spelling is a comparatively recent thing in western civilisation, and it has always seemed to me to be highly overrated.  I can't see that how a person spells has any bearing whatsoever on the question they are asking.

  18. Meh, it's not only feminists who do this....it's annoying people in general.

  19. I think everyone prefers talking about grammar rather than facing having been caught a molester and pervert.
