  1. no.. they already have alot of players who are good midfielders... i feel they are just being too wasteful..

  2. he must be good enough because he plays for england and he can only improve for liverpool and its a better club than villa

  3. I'd rather keep the £18m, play Alonoso who is only a tiny bit worse than him and buy a new CB snce Carragher and Hypia will be retiring soon.

  4. yea but only if we play him in the left wing but again 18mill is too much

  5. I think he would do a good job but we have a strong midfield without him so I am not sure why we are bothering.

  6. ya he'd be good ofcourse 18million good i dont know

  7. No - he's total rubbish.

    Signed

A Villa Fan. We've only got a squad of 11 - if Barry goes we can't make a team :-)

Seriously - I think since he's been in the England team they have started to look a lot better. Him and Gerrard together could be incredible (or not - as the case may be).

  8. Liverpool already have central midfielders like Mascherano, Lucas, Gerrard, Alonso, Plessis so I don't think there is a need to buy Barry.

  9. along side gerrard brilliant.......

  10. I've got a feeling that Barry will go to Liverpool and be very ordinary then meanwhile Alonso will end up at somewhere like Arsenal and become a complete revelation...

Keep Alonso, consistently play him and save a few quid.

  11. Good player. Very versatile... comfortable at left-back, left midfield, and centre midfield. I think his versatility would make him a decent signing for any club.

However, I don't think Liverpool are willing to make another huge signing after £20.3M Robbie Keane.

  12. i think he would strengthen the squad but cant see how he would fit in as gerrard would play  with mascherano in midfield and if torres and keane play he would have to play wide midfield.he can do this but its not his best position.

I also would not pay above £15m but villa dont want to lose him.,

  13. he would be a good signing but don't think they should spend £18 million on him

  14. No because he is a dislayal player who glady abandoned the club he's been at all his life in favour of more money and Chmapiosn League football.

That coupled with the fact that he is not worth 18 million is porbably going to mean that he is not a good signing at all.

  15. I don't really know much about him but Rafa and Gerrard really want him to sign for Liverpool so he should be a good signing for them

  16. he is very good but 18mil is far too much for sb we dont really need. Rabbie Keane is a better signing

  17. Gareth Barry has been great for Villa in the 10 years he's player for them but whether Villa are Right to Slap a £18 million price tag on him, is a bit much, if i were Liverpool i would turn my attention to someone like Van der varrt or  Valencia from wigan

  18. Thank god he wasn't at Ibrox today

  19. No doubt about it that he would be a good signing for Liverpool, but like people have already said 18 million is way to pricey. We will just have to wait and see to what unfolds...
