What do you think of getting a 12 year old a promise ring?

She asked me for it.She said she wants to save herself for a right man,when they get married.What do you think.I support this 100% and I know she's not kidding about this.She's an honest girl and I know she would stick to the promise.Where could I get a pretty yet not so expensive promise ring?

  5. I think get okay, but they are call purity rings you don't want to give the wrong idea to people. A nice gold ring with a small stone in it would be perfect. Go to walmart, Kmart, or JC penny

  8. I don't think those are called promise rings...I forget what though.  But I think it is a wonderful idea.  I think a small gold ring with her birth stone in it would be appropriate.

  9. A promise ring is a ring that a guy gives his girlfriend when they aren't ready for marriage but want to make a commitment that someday they want to be married. The ring you're talking about is a known as a purity ring or true love wait ring. Most Christian book stores have a few choices. You can find one for around $10. James Avery has some nice ones as well, but they are more expensive.

    But to answer your question: I think it's absolutely awesome that your daughter would ask for such a ring. It's a commitment worth making and keeping.
