i watched True Life: I'm a Compulsive Shopper on t.v today and these girls were like, "Oh i need help; i can't stop shopping. I have all these bills to pay and i feel bad that i've put my parents into debt"...and then they happily skip out the door with Daddy's credit card and buy a ton of clothes and c**p...

No one has a gun to your head demanding you walk into the mall and spend 5,000 dollars on a designer jacket and 5 new pairs of shoes. It's ridiculous and selfish.

because ignorance is bliss. those girls don't want help because many do not live up to what they promise. they say they will stop shopping like a psycho then they go spend thousands of dollars on material things that they don't need. no one is forcing them to do it.
