You work with a very soft-spoken young woman. You and another coworker eat lunch with her. She's usually very quiet. She came up with an idea to get you a few presents and make muffins before you go on pregnancy leave. They surprised you today. Your other lunch buddy informs you that all of this was the quiet woman's idea. Upon hearing this, the quiet woman lowered her head and smiled, but wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. All throughout lunch she was still very quiet.

What do you think of this?

  1. Just a very kind, but shy women, she probably is just in need of a friend (hint, hint, nudge, nudge)

  2. She probably just doesn't like to draw attention to herself, so it might have embarrassed her when they pointed out that it was her idea. If I were you, I'd leave her a note to thank her, so she doesn't have to feel weird about a face to face interaction.

  3. I think that she is an asset to the office, and a quiet friend. She is shy and not one to claim origin of ideas and wants to avoid the limelight.

I wish that there were a lot more like this one!

    Regards,

    Dan

  4. sounds like an extremely thoughtful genuine person, who would be a great friend to have........
