Please let me know what you think of her, as well as her conformation. I am free leasing her from a friend while they are trying to sell her. But I am thinking about buying her for myself. She just turned 5. I am looking for a horse for any disipline. What do you think of her?

The pic of her riding western is when she was a 2yr old. and the other three are recent within the last few months.

  1. I wouldn't buy her just on the basis of her having carried a foal before her body was matured....that just spells potential problems down the line.  I also don't like that she was trained as a two year old.  She moves in a hollow backed frame which, since she's been ridden since she was two, may have also caused some skeletal issues that can't be reversed....I wouldn't buy her.....sorry.

  2. I like her. She's very stocky looking, which I like. Her back is probably a bit short. Her price seems high if she has no training of anything in particular. If your just looking for and all around good using horse, I think she would be fine. Good luck finding the perfect horse. Temperament and willingness mean a lot!

Add; Gesh people, it's just an opinion. Thanks for the thumbs down : >[

  3. Sorry I don't like the back line and height of the withers.  I wouldn't pay that kind of money, that's quite bite.  For breeding not a good idea.  I know she's standing down hill but still...  Best of luck if ur willing to pay that kinda money keep looking you'll find a wonderful horse.  Best of luck

Wow and she was breed at 2 and had a foal already at 3, yep just caught that, gee she just know at 5 yrs old got fully mature....  Umm I would pass that's for sure.

  4. she looks kind of short

i cant help to notice that her hindquarters are taller than her shoulders. i dont think this is good in the horse world. i wouldnt buy her, i have a more liking towards taller horses.

she might grow problems in her hindquarters or her shoulders because of her downhill appearance, but i'm no vet.

you're probably emotionally attached to her but i really wouldnt buy this horse. it doesnt look good to me

  5. due to the fact that she's hindquarter high I wouldn't buy her! She dosn't look like she'll grow out of that so I'd say poor breeding abd it was more for color than confermation but once again beautiful coloring!

  6. she's not that bad if you just plan on hacking or pleasure riding at home. She's still growing at 5 years old & her conformation will change slightly. Her front end may grow & look more even w/the hind end in another year. She should not have been bred at 3 since she's not excellent quality & was not fully grown yet & like most people I believe it's bad to break & start riding a horse at 2 years. They are just not skeletally developed enough yet. There are obvious back issues as she does seem to be going hollow backed w/her nose &ead way up in the air in one of those pics. That's a sign of a horse w/a hurting back! Conformation wise, just depends on what you plan on doing with her whether or not it's "good enough"

  7. Honestly?  She isn't anything I would have bred, ESPECIALLY not at 3 years old (don't know if that was your doing, though).  She is downhill, though not as much as the last photo suggests.  (Make a line from hind heel to front heel, and compare that angle to withers vs. highest point of rump..she is still a bit downhill).  I don't love her pasterns.  Cute, but not breeding quality.
