I posted this poem awhile ago, but id like some new feedback. Do you like it? Also what are your ideas on what it means? Thanks for reading.

A Voice

He hears a voice

behind the madness

it speaks to him

with calming sadness.

It speaks to him

What does it say?

The voice is fading,

Fading away.

The voice is faint

Can you hear?

That calming voice

That fills the ear?

Now it's gone

Lost in the wind

Will it return,

To comfort him?

For now he's alone

In a dark, dark room

Losing the fight

It'll be over soon.

But maybe that voice,

Won't be so faint

Next time it comes

Like a healing saint.

  1. It is a good poem.  It sounds like the person might be depressed and isolates him or herself.  The person needs someone to talk to.  Since this person has no one to talk to,  they seem to be depending on their inner conscious to come back and help them.  A trained conscious could do much good and help make wise choices.  This person has faith in their inner conscious because at the end of the poem it mentions that the next time the voice will be a healing saint.  The heart has emotions and is like a wild horse, the mind is like a trained rider but they work together and succeed. The mind (conscious) controls the heart and helps the person succeed.
