What do you think of jack russell dogs?

I was walking my mom's dog and everyone was fascinated with her, kept staring and wanted to stroke her.

She is a pedigree and her name is Trouble! Ironically she isn't.

What's the fascination?

  1. I know God loves me because He made Jack Russell Terriers xDDD

    Anywho...   in my opinion they're the best breed ever. They're definitely not for everybody though.

    I love their bountiful energy. I love their hyperness. I love their looks. Their will. Their heart of a lion. Their feistiness. Their working ability. I love how loyal they are. I love how loving they are.  I love everything about them. And I love their incredibly high intelligence. I also love how they won't back down from a challenge, or from something else no matter how big they are.

    I've shown, worked, and studied Jack Russell Terriers for 9 years. Not once have I gotten tired of learning or being around them. I live and dream this breed! Every day of those 9 years has been a complete blessing. I've loved every show I go to with my Jrts. I thoroughly love going hunting with them. I love studying them. I love being around them.

    We have a total of 6 Jrts. We've had more, since we're Jrt breeders.

    They're extremely loyal and loving dogs.

    Preserve, protect, and work the Jack Russell Terrier!

  3. On April 29th, 2007, a Jack Russell named George saved five children in New Zealand from an attack by two pit bulls. He was reported to have charged at them and held them at bay long enough for the kids to get away. He had to be put down due to injuries and was posthumously awarded a medal of bravery, normally reserved for humans, by the SPCA A former US Marine also donated a Purple Heart award he received for service in Vietnam to George's owner.

I think they're crazy little dogs.  Super intelligent, but not the kind of dog for me.  My spaniel is best friends with a jack russell and even my dog gets a little tired of his friend's antics sometimes.  The thing I dislike most about them is how when they shed their hair sticks to everything and is difficult to vacuum out.

  6. Great little dogs, full of energy, not for everyone but great mousers which is just what I need right now. Field Mouse just ran in my lounge and my three brave dogs just sat and looked at it then went back to sleep...maybe I need a cat or a Jack Russell!!!!!!

  9. If you see my picture here, I am holding my dog who is half Jack Russel.

    They are exceptionally bright. They are personal. They love their humans.

    They can be taught to be search and rescue dogs.

    I also think they are liked because they to me are like the quintessential dog. The medium to judge other dowg from small to large.

    My dog is named Teddy Bear He is more like a brutus when it comes to making sure that i am safe

  10. Mine need alot of attention, so she wouldn't get bored, lots of structured playtime and walks, but she was a great dog

  11. They're just a great little fun loving terrier.

    Of all the terrier breeds, they're perhaps the most intelligent, and they have a way of looking at you that makes you think they're understanding every word you say.

    I just think they're adorable little mutt's.

  12. Only since Frasier did the Jack Russell terrier become popular.  They are nice little dogs but if not challenged properly and exercised they will chew chew chew (usually on furniture legs) or dig.

    But then again, what dog doesn't?

  13. i love jack Russel's!  they are not yappy! they are smart and loveable i saved my Milo jack russel from a family  member and hes the sweetest thing you will ever meet!

  14. They are my fave dogs in the world! My friend has 2 and love walking though her door and the 2 jack russells are just jumping and sniffing !

  15. Jack Russels are outgoing and extremely friendly! They love all people and they are like magnets, they are cute and bubbly and people love them!
