  1. Although I am not a big JGR fan, I think it's a great decision by JGR, as long as he keeps his head in place. He's too young for an ego trip, and he is fast, so as long as he doesn't start acting like a certain teammate, he will be great.

    Good answer Jeff C.

  2. It's not like it used to be in nationwide. They are different cars then they drive in sprint cup now. So saying he needs more time in nationwide is just crazy. They don't handle the same, they certainly can't be fixed during the race the same, and until they change the cars over to the CoT in the nationwide series I can't see any choice but move him up and let him learn the new car.

  3. I have a feeling  it's too soon. Oh well, maybe I'll be wrong. LOL

  4. Let's hope he does well as Tony Stewart has done. BTW Tony is my favorite driver. It will be sad to see Tony go away from the Home Depot racing team.

  5. I think he'll be fine Theodora.  He seems to have a very good head on his shoulders and has had a lot of success already under a great deal of pressure.  As a matter of fact I'm saying he will definitely be fine.  TImes have changed in NASCAR.  These guys are raised to be professionals by the age of 18 or 19.  Vickers and Kyle Busch are a couple that have transitioned fine at a young age.   They have actually gotten a hold of the sport better then some guys that are 35 years old.

I also believe a lot of people will be negative of course because JGR is the best racing team in the USA right now.    Losers always despise winners. A good loser admires a winner and is a good sport about it.  I know.  When I was a quarterback in High School and College our teams always stunk.  I was used to losing but dealt with it like a gentleman.

  6. I think it is way to soon.  I think he is the best fit though and he has been waiting a long time for this.  We will just have to see next year.

  7. OMG OMG OMG it's the second coming of Casey Atwood!

Seriously, though, Joey Logano has talent, a lot of RAW talent.  I just worry that it's too raw, and he should have a couple more years in Nationwide before he comes over to Cup.  I could be very wrong, though.

I wonder if Zippy has as much of a magnetic personality as Mr. Rogers.

  8. I disagree with putting a driver with little Cup experience in a full time ride of that caliber. But who knows...it could work. Time will tell.

  9. I think it's a good move....JGR will have a great young team next year.  For Lagano it's a very smart move.

  10. First, its Logano and second I am excited. I have been watching him all season and I'm a JGR fan so besides Kyle on occasion I cheer them all on. my top two are Logano and Hamlin though and he has so much promise in him. Hopefully they won't overload him with too much though, he deserves a shot like everyone else. The only reason he didn't run a full year is because of his age and NASCAR rules.

I completly agree with Tbone on the matter. He needs to keep his head in place but I don't think it will be a problem.

  11. I understand what you are saying, they are faced with a vacancy and who else they gonna put in the car? We will just have to go through it and see how it works out. Hope for the best.

  12. I kind of think he should get some more experience in the Nationwide first, but he is good, and talented so hopefully it works out for him!

  13. Well, it does seem as if it's rushing him. I would think he should run Nationwide at Daytona, as well as some truck races at the higher speed tracks.

If Gibbs thinks it will work, it's his money.
