What do you think of metalcore?

I guess it's okay, it can be just as heavy as extreme metal.

But the vocals, by very nature, are totally retarded.

I like Metalcore a lot. It's Metal but not as Metal as Metal. (Lol, I say that TOO much) Anyway, it's a pretty cool genre but that doesn't mean I don't listen to other Metal sub genres. I listen to a lot of stuff. Sometimes the vocals suck but it's all ok because there's a lot of cool Metalcore bands out there that rule at vocals.

Never listened to it and judging by the 30 seconds preview on iTunes, Slipknot and others don't have anything appealing to me... Don't know why, but true death metal is more appealing...

EDIT: Sorry then... Can you give me some good metalcore bands so I can give them a listen?

I strongly dislike metalcore, for me it is a rip off of good music.

There are probably like five metalcore bands i like..but yeah.

yeah it does depend, personally i'm a fan of metalcore being that The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favorite bands

Metalcore is my 5th favorite sub genre of metal.  Yes, there are some metalcore bands that have horrible vocals, but then there are some metalcore bands that are very talented instrumentally like Anterior, Between The Buried and Me, and Shadows Fall.  So yes, I think metalcore is a good sub genre of metal.

depends, name some metalcore bands and i will give you an answer.

there are so many metal genres out there its hard to figure out who is what.
