  1. great Con-verb...time is so slippery

  2. Yea! Phelps becomes immortal for the hour

And then he bows and leaves as all things must.

Swift hands sweep onward from their ancient tower

And all that stood in triumph lies as dust.

A thought-provoking Con-verb that highlights, with both humor and introspection, that mystery of mysteries that both nourishes and consumes us.  Many thanks.

  3. I like it...

Very trippy...(It seems you and I have much to discuss about "free love" and the "feminist movement...")

    Over coffee, perhaps!?!?  (just kidding)

(I got an "A-" in my "Women, Film & American Culture" class elective in college...woo yaw!)

  4. I cannot comment clearly as my mind is still twisting with this one

    ..

  5. Euclid was wrong almost every time.

  6. Thought provoking and great

    sports commentary!

    ma

  7. It does make you wonder if a time of .01 seconds can be important....I am wasting an awful lot of my time.  I am sitting here at this keyboard, writing this rubbish, for one - drinking my third (luke-warm coffee), for two, listening to Mamma Mia - the Movie (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme) for three.....and waiting for my daughter so we can go for a brisk walk, for four....'Waiting for My Daughter'  put that on the Olympic schedule, let me compete and I would be a winner every time.

As to your converb....my tiny brain cannot cope with the concept of time....to me it is a bit like a piece of elastic, it stretches and contracts in relation to the interestingness (wot! wot! - there's no such word) of what I am doing.  Unfortunately, the more fascinating something is the greater the contraction, and when something is mind-shatteringly boring it stretches forever like a lonely road.

Can you see what I am doing here?  I am attempting to fill the long, long boring wait for my daughter with something - anything.

Good morning, E, I hope you are fast asleep -  it is 9 o'clock Sunday a.m here. (not chatting, honest)

  8. And the upside is his Mother has promised to no longer scold him for biting his 0.01/second fingernails.

Magnets on the Touch Pads and iron-based nail polish? A coincidence? I think not.

With all the World Records falling, does anyone suspect the Chinese of re-inventing time or better still creating Performance Enhancing stopclocks?

Very apt and topical Con-verb EP.

  9. with a blink, Neat con-verb!

  10. That's great and so was that race...I can't even imaging what .01/sec is.  I tried to explain it to my 8yr old the best I could, but I don't think I was even close.  Anyhow, the man is super human and my 8 year old wants to be just like him.
