I can't believe I resorted to this ha ha.

I am VERY self conscious and my brother has body dismorphic disorder. For those who don't know that means you always think people are judging you for the way you look and it's all you can think about basically.

Anyhoo

I'm short for my age which is 14

I am 5"3 or 160cm

I weight 90 pounds

I'm very skinny and I know so no anorexic comments please, I find it hard to put on weight and it runs in the family

My bra size is 30A but I think that might be getting too small but I'm not sure

I have a really small waist which gives me at least SOME shape

I have long thin legs and I work out on them everyday to make them bigger

Judgements please

  1. Madeline.. You are not short for your age and your body is still growing... You probably could use a few more pounds in weight..Give yourself time... You sound fine.. God bless !

  2. Your not that short. I am I am only 5ft and 14.

  3. 5'3" is not "short for your age". It's pretty average for a mature woman. So, if you don't grow anymore, I wouldn't worry. You are fine...just a little thin. Worry about increasing your knowledge and nurturing your soul. Looks will fade anyway.

  4. Young lady, you appear to be focusing your energy the wrong direction. You are 14 years old, you are "developing" mentally and physically. You will notice "spurts" of growth in both mentioned dynamics of your body for the next several years. What you are experiencing is perfectly normal and it is important for you understand your body and especially your mind have a capacity to fool into thinking there is something wrong when there clearly is not. If you respect the opinions of your parents, then perhaps you should ask them to inform you if your weight seems abnormal. Other than that, enjoy your life, and try not to worry so much until you are older.

    Have a fine day.

  5. Madeleine,

The way people see you shouldn't ideally be a matter of big importance.

But to answer directly your question : as you describe yourself, it doesn't seem abnormal. But if you have doubts about that, you can try to talk to a qualified person, like a physician for example. he'll be able to clear the situation up in the best way.

  6. your body can still grow, so I don't think you should think too much about it.

why do you think people are judging you the way you look?  ( i think it's a psychological problem and maybe you should talk to the expert)

be happy just the way you are. ( I am a boy, 21years old, 162cm, 140pounds, all my friends are higher than me and I have no problem with that)
