What do you think of my character names?

Question

I had a great idea for a story (at 2 or 3 in the morning) a month or two ago, and I'm finally going to start working on it very soon. I'm so excited!

I want to know what you think of my character names so far. Please note that some of them may seem a little weird, I just have an odd taste in names. :P

Rengi Labelle - The main character of my story. There's no real story behind Rengi, it's just a name I thought was cute, cool and fitting for him. Labelle is a french surname meaning 'good looking', and he just happens to be good looking and was born in France! Labelle is shy and sweet by nature.

Hideaki Matsumodo - Labelle's soon-to-be best friend. As you can probably tell from his name, he's of Japanese heritage (though he wasn't born there and isn't really interested in it). His surname isn't official. He's really feminine, though he tries to get others to believe he's the manliest person around.

Payton Quinn - The biggest tomboy you will ever meet. Payton and Quinn are both unisex names.

Charmy - Nothing behind it, just a name I liked. She is a smoker.

Emily - Sounded like one of those names you'd give to a mysterious, adorable-but-dangerous girl. Quiet, she doesn't like the company of others much.

What do you think so far, guys? Am I doing a good job?

the only one i'm questioning is Payton Quinn.

it seems wierd that she is a tomboy with two unisex names. it's not like her parents knew she was gonna be a tomboy. if you are set on the name Payton, then try a more feminine middle name, so it's just not as wierd.

Like Payton Rose, Payton Marie, Payton Claire, Payton Olivia.

or i suggest using a name that could have a boyish nickname. like say her name was stephanie and she hated it cuz it was girly, she could have everyone call her stevie. others i can think of are

Miranda - Randi/Randie/Randy

Charlotte- Charlie/Charley/Charli

Samantha - Sam/Sammie/Sammy

Alexandra- Alex, Al

Rachel - Ray

Andrea - Andi/Andy/Andie

Danielle - Dannie/Danny/Dan

Christina - Chris

Ashley - Ash

Madeline - Maddy

Jacqueline - Jack/Jackie

Roberta - Robbie, Bobbie.

Kennedy - Kenny/Kennie

Courtney - Cory

Nicole/Nicole - Nickie, Nicky, Nikki

Francessca/Frances - Frankie

Maxine  - Max

Victoria - Vic, Tory/Tori

i also like the name Paige for a tomboy for some reason.

Some are really cliche and some just stink. Sorry, but from the names and descriptions I don't think I'd find the story interesting at all.
