What do you think of my idea to pay for college?

Hello Yahoo Answers! I just got accepted into USC, UCLA, U Penn, and Arizona State University!

When I was 5 yrs. old I got bit by a dog, and sued for $100,000.

My family has a low income, my mom makes around $40,000 and ,my dad makes around $75,000, I live with my mother.

I want to attend USC or UCLA, I lived in Los Angeles all of my life.

My plan was to Apply for scholarships, use some of the money I get from when I sued, hopefully get financial aid, and take out a few loans.

I'm not that worried about debt, but it still concerns me I want to go USC or UCLA as a freshman no matter what, hey, you only live life once.

What do you think of my plan?

Low income??  Together we make about $50,000 a year!  You can try, but I doubt you will qualify.  Grades and leadership qualities are also considered when applying for a scholarship.

I would NEVER consider $100,000 plus a year as LOW INCOME.

2008 Federal Poverty guidelines for a family of 4 is 21,200 per year.  Since your parents greatly exceed that, it is doubtful you will qualify.  Though there are many types of scholarships such as music, athletic, specified field (ie. law), there are many factors besides grades and income that factor into whether someone is qualified or is granted a scholarship.  Generally, they are designed for worthy HARDSHIP cases.

i think your plan is a GREAT idea and paying for collage is the best idea ever and what a ending you only live life once wow now that's what i call life great plan of your life

i dont think this answers your question, but your family is not low income. low income would be 20,000 and below
