What do you think of my idea to promote veg*ism?

Here is my idea

Veg* storm:summer '11

I had this massive idea and I would like to share it with you. This vision is set in my imaginary world of unlimited funds so, it might be really expensive. Well anyway, I want to try to have all the resources for the veg* community in New York City sometime during the summer of 2011. (This will give time to plan it) This would be a 2 week event. The first week would be a veg* convention. The purpose of this convention is to draw media attention and train people in the art of leafleting.

The second week is where the hold veg* storm idea gets it name. Think of it, people leafleting at every corner. Trucks with megaphone rooming up and down the streets. Just a massive effort.

I want to have enough time to plan out where the activist will eat and sleep. So, what do you think of my delusional idea.

I hope NYC has some majorly big PUSH BROOMS to pick up all the discarded leaflets.  

Seriously you're describing a bootcamp where you're en massing the forces to go tell everyone else how wrong they eat.

I never condone people trying to force their opinions and beliefs on others.

Come do it in Chicago, but make sure the pamphlets themselves are vegetarian because if someone hands me one, they're going to eat it.

I think it stinks.  If one of your trucks is megaphoning down my street the speakers just might be shot out.

No offense, but it sounds like you are trying to p**s people off and turn them away. Yelling at them until they submit isn't a good plan.

Back to the leafleting. I'm afraid that there might not be enough veg activists that are mature enough to leaflet respectfully for you to cover every corner or even a large number, especially if they are down with the megaphone idea.

I like it and I will totally come.  We could have the convention at a hotel and people could rent rooms ahead of time.  We can all even bunk together if we make friends.

I will hold a megaphone too!  I am just that kind of girl.  I will even dress up as a baby calf torn from it's mother.  I am totally not kidding.
