These are all for a boy, BTW. I don't want "alternate spellings", or suggestions of different names, or to hear your name list - just what you think of these, as they are.

If you don't know how it's pronounced, just skip it, please!

I'm looking for a unique but classic name; I don't want another Jayden or Gavin or Logan - please hold any suggestions of trendy names or commentary that I should be choosing names like that.

Alasdair

Alban

Antony

Atticus

Ciarán

Conan

Corvin

Devereux

Devin

Gareth

Orion

Rhom

Rowan

Seamus

Sebastien

Silas

the only ones i'm a little iffy about are Alasdair, Ciarán, and Devereux. but, other then that they are adorable names! i'm sure you'll choose the right one!

  5. Hi..my opinions of the names u hav chosen--

    Alasdair- DNT LIKE IT.

    Alban- DNT LIKE IT.

    Antony- DNT LIKE IT.

    Atticus- DNT LIKE IT..SOOO WEIRD.

    Ciarán- NICE.

    Conan- DNT LIKE..WEIRD.

    Corvin- WEIRD.

    Devereux- NO WAY!

    Devin- NICE.

    Gareth- ITS OK.

    Orion- NOT BAD.

    Rhom- DNT LIKE.

    Rowan- NOT BAD.

Seamus- DONT LIKE,SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD MANS NAME.

    Sebastien- NOT BAD.

    Silas- TOO WEIRD.

This is just my personal opinion..its ur child at the end of the day and if u like a certain name then go for it..its nothing 2 do with any1 else..apart from ur partner!! All the best!

  6. I only like Sebastian sorry.

  7. I don't care for any of them.  I don't tend to like any name that you'd term unique.  Some old-fashioned ones, yes; but "unique" no.

  8. Ooooh lots of those are cute!!

My faves are Alban, Rowan, and Seamus.

  9. I like Antony, Devin, Orion, and Silas.

  10. dont like

  11. I love Conan, Devin, Sebastien, and Rowan. They are nice and masculine. Those are the only ones I like out of your names, sorry.

    :)

  12. I think Rowan is the best. Classic, unique, and no one will struggle to pronounce it or spell it. I like Silas too. Devin is nice. It's your baby, but plz don't name him Conan. It is a very strong name, but is it worth a lifetime of teasing? Kids are cruel! Ooh, Corvin is cute. I've never heard that name before, but it's cool! Good list, good luck with baby!

  13. You're right, children can get teased for any reason. To avoid certain names because they are "teasable" seems silly. Anything about a person can be teased.

Homeschooling is a great way to let your kids learn at their own pace, not to mention keep them active past age 5. If I ever have kids, I'll homeschool them.

As far as your names go, here are my favorites:

Alasdair - Lots of nickname potential, different but not too out there.

Antony - I prefer the sound of this to the sound of Anthony.

Devin - Take this name back for the boys!! I hate that it's becoming unisex. It's a great name.

Seamus - A cool name that's gaining in popularity.

All your choices are good. If I were you, I'd choose a name not ending in the "in" sound because those names are so common lately.

  14. Hate most of them, I guess Devin and Sebastien are ok.

  15. Well i think this is a great long long list and i am sure ur little boy will be amazing. Are u looking for middle names too cause i was looking at:

    Conan Silas

    Devin Rowan

    Orion Seamus

Sorry for that if that isnt what u wanted

    LOved the names

    Congrats on baby

  16. Alban or devon. maybe anthony? IDK u want a safe name for kids so they dont get teased/ bullyd

  17. i think devin and silas are very nice names... silas especially

  18. Alasdair: I think of a Harry Potter Character Alister

Alban: It sounds old-fashioned, cute as a middle name though.

Antony: Sounds italian and distinguished, however, its not my favorite name.

Atticus: The father or Scout and Jem from To Kill A Mockingbird

Claran: Never heard it, it's alright but as a middle name.

    Conan: Cute, uncommon, sounds athletic.

Corvin: Sounds like a brand of car, not necessarily a name in my opinion.

Devereux: I couldn't even begin to tell you what I think because I have no idea how to pronounce it. Hoever, there are too many 'e's and I don't personally like the way it looks.

Devin: I don't like unisex names, but its better than some of the others you've listed.

    Gareth: Different, old-fashioned, creative.

Orion: I think of onion, just word association but since you asked...

    Rhom: Like a CD-Rom?

Rowan: Cute, I like this name for a girl or a boy, its one of the few unisex names that's sophistocated.

Seamus: I nice twist on Shane and Sean. Cute and uncommon.

Sebastian: I don't like this name and never have.

Silas: Don't know how to say it but it looks decent on paper.

  19. Atticus

(sorry ik to many girls name Devin so id like for a boy lol)

    Sebastien is really cute too

  20. my initial thought is " POOR KID ". I mean you have to remember how  children tease when it comes to names.

  21. I like Rowan, Devereux, and Sebastien.

Dont pay any attention to the insults.  I think you picked a lot of cute names and I think its always nice to come across something different and unique.  Who wants to be in a classroom with 5 kids all having the same name?  Most of us grew up in a time where everyone was named Mike or Joe or Katie or Jenny.  These days more people are picking unusual/unique names and people are adapting to it including the children making it less likely that they would be made fun of.  Good Luck and Congrats!

  22. I like Sebastien, Atticus, Ciarán, and Rowan

  23. I like

    Antony

    Rowan

    Silas

    Devereux

    Atticus

    Devin

I don't like generic names either. I like them when they are different but not like 'Co Captain of the Ship'.

My two favorite boy names [just saying you dont have to read]

    are Luca and Jude.

but yours are really cool and different.

  24. I like:

    Antony

    Ciaran

    Corvin

    Devereux

    Devin

    Gareth

    Rowan

    Sebastein

Wow those are some great beautiful unique names! I really like them!

  25. they sound like alien baby names or maybe a pirate- argh I be Seamus of the Baltic Sea

    I AM AWESOME

  26. i love the name gareth!!! i think those names are unique.

  27. I'd say, with all seriousness and respect, that Devin and Silas are the only two names that won't get the kid's butt kicked in school.  Silas is still a little iffy.

My advice is to stay away from names that the kid will have to pronounce for people, such as Devereux or Ciaran.  Ciaran will come out as "Sharon" to people of Irish heritage?

  28. i like Antony, love Atticus, like Conan, Corvin, and Devin. Rowan is unisex and i don't like unisex names. like Silas a lot.
