What do you think of my old relatives names; Ania Maria, Halina, Roksolyana, Nadia, Lecia, Katerina?

  1. They're DEFINITELY slavic names.  Are they Ukrainian?  I haven't ever heard of Roksolyana or Lecia.

    I personally prefer Galina over Halina, since the H is so hard sounding (ch in Bach) - though the H makes it sound even more exotic

    I've seen Nadia a lot on here (wish it wasn't so common) but it's nice.

    Katerina and Ania Maria are interesting spellings (though very traditional where they're from I'd imagine).

    OK the second one i would spell Helena so its ok.

    Roksolyana??? NO sorry i dont even know how to say it!

    Nadia is a name i like a lot!!! it is great like this Nadia Mae.

    Lecia no sorry i dont like it!

    Katerina is nice and much better than Katrina i think!!

  6. Those are common names to me. My best friend, Vitali, is russian and even though he went to school here in the U.S. he'd spend summers with family in St. Petersburg and I went with him most years...plus I'm really close with his family - well except his mom who refuses to learn english.

    Nadia and Katerina are very pretty names and I love those names.

    Halina - ive never seen this spelling b4, i like it.

    Roksolyana - ....... uh maybe Roxanne or Solyana

    Nadia - not bad

    Lecia - love that

    Katerina - is it pronounced   kat-er-ee-na or kat-reen-uh?? I like both i guess.
