What do you think of my plan towards being a doctor?

i'll be taking biology as a major:the major includes calculus with analytical geometry and organic chemistry till i get a bachelors degree and then i take the mcat in order to apply for medical school.during my first 2 years of college i'll also take a paramedic coursein order to keep me going financially

You must have a 3.5 average. If the EMT job keeps you too busy for that, drop the job. You should take any major you enjoy. Admissions does not care, once you have completed the pre-med courses.

Requirements of being a doctor:

1. Love school because you will never stop learning, you must always be aware of what new drugs are out.

2. Sincerely care for people, don't just do it for the money.

3. Care for people, but do not have an emotional attachment.

4. Don't let death scare you, you'll see it often until you become numb to it.

5. Classes are great and so are interships, but interview an actual doctor who has the job, her likes/dislikes.

Other than, I am proud to hear you have a plan for your life. Be prepared to make changes along the way.

i think its great that u want to be a doctor but remember u have to work hard and pay attention also eat light meals

I think you will have a very good chance of making it in to medical school, Just make sure you dont overwork your self or you'll burn out and drop in school... Please give me best answer!

that sounds pretty good. im taking a similar course too but only majoring in biology. hope you're dedicated enough to get through all that school. good luck
