In her younger days,

our Mother had a great temper,

She turns red easily,

Coupled with spouts of anger.

But as she matured,

She decided to tone it down,

She found herself a nice gentleman,

And settled for a wedding gown.

And so she gave birth to us,

Her beloved children we are,

She nurtured us through our early years,

Her watchful eyes;

Sometimes teary, and other times;

Beaming with joy.

She kept us warm in her bosom,

And held us up when we couldn't walk.

She watched as we grow into teens,

And feels the pain of being hurt,

We ripped her heart apart,

And scar her in all ways ,

Yet, we don't seem to care.

And now, we have matured,

Children of hers.

We have dreams she cannot fulfilled,

Dreams bigger than her.

It is time for us to leave home,

To leave our Mother, and wonder into unknowns,

So we kiss her goodbye,

As we wonder off and leave her behind to die,

Oh Mother, let me tell you one last time,

"I love you, Mother!

I love you, Earth!"

  1. More has to be written about Mom's everywhere! I have an idea for a song if you aren't offended. It's about a mother who got remarried and had 3 more children and the narrative is by the oldest from a first marriage. It's all about family life...

    MY DEAR MOTHER

    Going back to younger days

    Mother nutured things her way

    She had bouts of anger,

She would get so mad at me

If my report card had a C

    She had such a temper

But one day she became mature

And her nerves were calming down

She had met a man so pure

And put on a wedding gown

    I've never seen the sun

Shine so bright for her happiness,

    Sweet harmony has come

And I hope them both the best

    She drove a yellow Microbus

When she gave birth to the rest of us

    Our doting mother,

She had two girls and a boy

We were her sweet bundles of joy

    Tucked us under the covers

The lives we lived as children

    We would never do without

Every gift that we were given

We would never whine or pout

I was blessed to have a good one

No matter how far we're apart,

She held our heads upon her bosom

I'd hear the beating of her heart

    My dear mother

    When children become teens

You start to have big dreams

    Mom kept you in check,

You went through your growing pains

You would drive her so insane

And your kids would lose respect

Dad was always hard at work

    So Mom handled discipline,

Why did I act like such a jerk

    When I knew I couldn't win

    We thought we were superheroes

    That we could do anything,

And that's when Dad took off that belt

And put an end to that little dream

    KANYE WEST:

And now that we got a little older mane/There was something I always should've told her mane/Just because you got a lot bolder mane/She's not like dirt you can brush off your shoulder mane/You may have brought some Guggi in Paris/You stop actin' wreckless/And quit gettin' careless cause you make me embarassed/Don't get it twisted cause I wear all these carats/I'm tellin' you i don't wanna hear it!/Dear Mama/And now it's time to us to leave home/And head for the unknown/You're too hard headed leave your mama alone/Hey mama don't you start to cry/I'll make you proud before you die/I hope we ain't huggin' for the very last time/Dear Mama...
