What do you think of my riding?

Question

Here are some vids of me riding my horse, Dot. Info is in the vids. Please, be nice! I got this horse only a month ago and she is still new to jumping! I know my riding is not the best, but this was the first time i rode english in over a year!

Dot's info:

Her name is short for Dorothy, but her reg. name is Susies Poco Doc.

She has Doc Bar on herr papers and is bred for racing.

She was a polo pony before i bought her.

She is 15.3hh.

She is 12 years old.

She LOVES to jump!

Sorry about my terrible leg position, I know I have too much foot in the stirrups, but my mom was all like, Ohhh, you need to have more foot in there and I was tired of arguing, so, I just put my foot in there to please her. Lol

looks like you have a nicely schooled pony but a little overweight.  you are not really jumping yet but are trotting over small jumps ok.  can you join a local pony club?  these hold rallies for riding and jumping groups where you can learn so much by doing it yourself and watching others.  in britain you can buy pony club training videos.  these might help.  or some of other trainers.

my favourite is show-jumping.  watching and doing.   good luck.

I can understand why, but your position should be more "up" over the jump. Your horse was not quite jumping the fences (maybe try bumping up the height just a bit because, if the horses don't have to jump, they won't.. Hope this helps! :)

u need higher jumps and posit when u r appearing the jump and kick u need to go faster
