  1. Definitely work on pitch - practice hitting random notes on the piano, then matching them. Try vocal exercises (buy a book if you play piano or ask your choir director to record some for you on a cassette) with the piano accompaniment and then a capella. I also suggest working on bringing your tone from your nose down to your chest or up to your head. This might sound weird, but the sound is a bit nasally. Thirdly, ENUNCIATE ENUNCIATE ENUNCIATE! I could hardly understand the words that you were saying. Make sure you hit each vowel and consonant clearly so that we hear the words. If you can afford it, I would suggest a vocal coach. They are there to help you with the aforementioned things and other technical aspects of vocal singing. If you can't get a voice teacher, try your school choir teacher for a little after school help.

That said, you have a natural ability and that you cannot teach. Work on technique and you will be surprised at what you can do!

  2. Don't give up hope for anybody. The pitch is a little off and annoying. Why? Because it is only slightly off. Listen to yourself and record yourself.

That is the only way to get good and you have to realize when you are singing off-key. If oyu don't , that means you do not have enough ear-training.
