What do you think of nicklas backstrom of the capitals. do you think he is over rated?

Overrated ? The kid shows up, takes over the #1 centerman job, gets a ton of primary assists to the leading goal scorer in hockey and plays a responsible 2 way game? He has great vision and a wonderful understanding of how the game needs to be played, handles playing along side a superstar like a good veteran and all this while he is still basically a kid? Okay I am not a Caps fan (Red Wings if you need to know) but this kid playing at such a high level at such a young age....he is only beginning to show the world how good he can be. Overrated?....I dont think so....underrrated might be a better statement (I dont know how many people outside Washington(DC) know how good this kid really is).

ummm sorry over rated yea right he set a franchise record with the most assists as a rookie. he plays with the best in the league and is amazing when it comes to puck handling

He's a terrific player. I can't wait to see the way he develops in the Caps organization. I think he has a huge amount of potential. I love to watch when he and Ovechkin are on the ice together. He has a lot of creativity and has great hockey sense, sometimes he just falls into Ovechkin's shadow, so oftentimes he doesn't get the acclaim he deserves.

overrated? i hardly think that 55 assists(caps rookie assists record) and back to back 4 assists games is overrated he is a bright young star for the caps future and should be there assisting ovie, semin and others for years
