  1. It doesn't really worry me because no matter what, it is something that we cannot prevent. Population has been growing ever since and it will be hard to control it. However, what really worries me is the fact that we are going to have to populate areas that have never been populated before. Meaning that we're gonna have to kill trees, and plants in order to put new houses. A lot of animals will lose the place they live because of our fault.

  2. that is a gross understatement

if only it would only double

it already trebled  in the last 60 years ,in the next 50 its more than that

we are getting 70.million more people every year but that was 5 years ago and this figure is constantly increasing,

  3. It does not worry me at all. Currently, if you stood every person on earth side by side, we could all fit on the state of Texas. The population will rise much more slowly than it has in the past, in that we now have effective birth control methods and there is also not much of a trend of having 10 kids anymore.

  4. It's cause for concern.

  5. i think we should worry about population halving by 2050... nuclear weapons won´t be sitting there idle  for too long. Furthermore, weapons of even greater mass destruction wil probably appear by then.

Parallely, we have the problem of global warming... we have the threat of being sucked by a black hole, we have the threat of being devastated by a giant asteroid, etc.

we won´t be living too long, beleive me!

  6. There are too many people on this planet already and in the future there won't be wars regarding oil, the wars will be fought over who controls the rapidly diminishing water supplies...

  7. I'm already worried that there are way too many people on the earth. What will happen when we don't have any room to grow food?

  8. That population estimate has been revised many times and changes all the time. It's impossible to accurately predict what the population will be atr that time because there are too many factors that affect it

  9. Yes, it does worry me...since that time would come within our lifespan. Population doubling means more consumption of resources, more waste and more impact on the environment. The world's weather is already topsy turvy enough as it is. The number of 'natural' disasters is ever increasing...showing us how we have mistreated our Mother Nature and caused all this imbalance. At the present, there are so many people who are starving throughout the world and if our population does double, I think matters will be made worse. Also, what are we going to do with double the amount of waste and pollution? This population explosion will definitely cause more  species of flora and fauna to go extinct as well, since we have to clear more forest area to accommodate for the increasing population numbers. I do not think that there is much we can do about the population growth as most developing countries are encouraging their people to have bigger families so that they can have a larger workforce to develop their respective countries.
