What do you think of part time vegetarians?

My cousin calls herself a vegetarian during the week, but eats meat when visiting family on weekends. I wonder how many people are like her.

She's not a vegetarian, simply put.

A vegetarian never eats meat. Well, if they choose to again. I knew a friend that was a vegan (she couldn't drink milk or eat dairy products anyway - lactose intolerant) but then after 3 years she started eating meat. That's more like it, not like eating it every weekend.

Why bother at all?

Nah. That's not a vegitarian xD Lol Vegetarian means that they never EVER eat meat!!!! She's not a vegetarian!!!! Hope this helps!

well she obviously not a vegetarian, there is no such thing as 'part time vegetarian' is there? either you eat meat. or you dont

There is no such thing as a part time vegetarian.  She should call herself a part time meat eater instead.  Vegetarianism is an entire lifestyle.  Your cousin is not a vegetarian.

if she ever eats meat she is not a vegetarian. hate to break it to her. maybe that is all her family fixes though, but i would eat peanut butter before i had a steak.

I have a new name for people like that...hypocritarian...Just like you can't be semi-pregnant...you can't be a semi-vegetarian.

Well then, she in not really a vegetarian because a vegetarian is someone who believes that killing animals is wrong just for eating it..

Never discourage good habbits even if they are half hearted.  That being said, NOTHING is more irritating that a vegan only when they pay or an idiot dieter.

Example, vegetarians who eat chinese dumplings or roast beef when its served at my house, or better yet vegatarians who use beef blood to wash their hair because the cow doesnt die when it bleeds.

But like going to church 3 times a year.  At least they know something is wrong and something is right
